My experience with WAir Charters was excellent! Throughout the entire process, from booking through the departure and return until the trip was completed. There was regular communication early on to ensure details were correct during booking, all needs were anticipated up front, and I found very few (if any) questions I had that weren’t already answered by the time I had considered them. Everything from transportation to and from the airport, to snacks and drinks during the flight, to backup plans if needed were discussed with real options available right away. I was involved in choosing every option without making it a burden – the team clearly knew exactly what to do and what makes a good experience. I felt strongly that they cared about my experience throughout and were both heavily proactive to anticipate, as well as reactive when necessary to respond to changes or requests. I was really able to just not think about the travel and enjoy my trip – which was a true pleasure. I find I often have an increased level of anxiety when dealing with travel these days, and not only did I not have that on this trip, I looked forward to it, and look forward to the next time I can travel with WAir Charters!

Thanks to the team at WAir for helping prepare me for my Commercial Certificate. With their help, I passed without any problems. Particular call out to Ben, my very patient instructor, Chief Pilot Stewart who gave me an excellent mock practical, Rhiannon who consistently ensured that my schedule was in order, and Toni who always greeted me with a smile and cheered me along!

I’ve worked with several flight schools over the years and WAir is the best that I’ve seen. They’ve got great instructors led by a very experienced chief pilot, a well thought out syllabus, several newer and well-maintained aircraft, a Redbird state-of-the-art simulator, and maintenance staff on hand that can deal with any issues that come up.

I highly recommend WAir if you are in the Chicagoland area and are interested in learning to fly.

I did my Private/Instrument/Commercial Single Engine Land at Wair Aviation. Highly recommend. Their aircraft is well maintained (onsite MX shop) and instructor is super responsible. Thanks Cheif pilot Stewart, Passed his ground stage check means oral with DPE will be piece of cake . My CFI Mo and Nic help me accomplished my plan. Thanks Toni she is super helpful and always encourage me.

I did my PPL with WAir and had an amazing experience! I came over to WAir from the now defunct Windy City Aviation at the recommendation of a friend, and I am glad I did so. Ben Councell is a fantastic instructor; he presented ground material in an understandable and applicable manner, he went beyond the basic steps for maneuvers and gave me his personal insight and tips into how to succeed, and he was flexible with my schedule. Ben is a kind person, and I always felt comfortable with and respected by him. Whenever I couldn't fly with him, Toni and Stewart made sure to reschedule me with as few instructors as possible to ensure consistency. Communication was always clear and frequent for lessons, and scheduling was simple. Chief pilot Stewart worked me hard during mock orals and checkrides, but I felt extremely prepared going into my practical exam. He was honest in his feedback, and didn't try and rush the process. The syllabus is practical, thorough, and well-paced. Stewart, along with Ben and all WAir staff, are strong advocates for their students' success. I hope WAir will continue to grow their fleet and presence at PWK!

I recently had the pleasure of joining WAir Aviation to go through flight training. From the moment I walked through the door, I was impressed by the professionalism and organization of the staff.

The instructors were all highly knowledgeable and skilled pilots, with a wealth of experience in both aviation and teaching. They were patient and thorough in their explanations, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that I fully understood the material.

The facilities were top-notch, with well-maintained aircraft and the Redbird state-of-the-art simulator that provided an immersive and realistic training environment. The multi-phase curriculum was comprehensive and covered all the necessary topics in a logical and engaging manner.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at WAir. It was clear that a great deal of care and attention to detail had gone into every aspect of the program, and I feel confident that I received the best possible training. I highly recommend WAir Aviation to anyone looking to fulfill their aviation ambitions!

I used WAir to get my private pilot, the whole team was very helpful and accommodating. All the instructors go above and beyond to help you understand the materials. They are there to work with you through all the questions you have. The materials you learn are all mapped out in the syllabus and I felt very confident in all the stage checks and exams required to pass. I cant say enough good things about this school!

It was a great experience! I Loved it so much Dan and Francis were so sweet and great! Francis was a really good tutor and he walked me threw all of the steps of checking the airplane and making sure everything was good and nothing was bad, I also spoked to aircraft controls which was really really fun! I loved the experience, I would love to go again, Dan was so nice when we spoked to him he also offered us gum😂! In the air Francis let us get tons of photos I would recommend w Air aviation I wouldn’t go anywhere else the staff was so nice I also got pretty photos . Thank you dan sincerely attallah.

My son went on a discovery flight with Francis. Per my son, "they were amazing and kid friendly." I would agree. Daniel was great with the booking experience. Stewart was so friendly in greeting my son and speaking with him in the lobby. Finally Francis, gave my son a great overview for his first flight experience; he was so thorough and took extra time. I would highly recommend WAir Aviation.
