I trusted La Petite in Round Lake Beach for 2.5 years with my child until my child's teacher had a romantic relationship with my wife.
Not only did her behavior go unchecked, she also didn't have the professional courtesy to remove herself from my daughters class.
Only when I confronted school management and demanded that they be separated that they finally took action. This action should have been taken as soon as they became aware of the conflict of interest.
The misconduct of the teacher was explained to me by both management and the district manager as "2 consenting adults", and they can't control what their staff member does outside of school hours.

Management and I had come to an agreement that this teacher would not be put in the same classroom as my daughter. 2 months after this agreement, on 22nd of March @ 0852, they violated it resulting in my quick reaction to remove her from the daycare. This teacher, Ashley a mother of 2 was reckless with my child, knowing that she is only 4 years old. For the past 2 months, she was putting my child in her own vehicle without a car seat and posted it on Facebook. It is evident that La Petite cares more for the staff member and protected her, rather than what was best for my child and the parents involved. If they are willing to be inactive in cases like this, to what extent of their day to day operations are they hiding in-house.
As a customer who pays over $300 a week for this service, I would expect a more professional staff and management.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this daycare to any family due to their staff and management's lack ethics and of proper conduct.

We joined La Petite 2 years ago when our daughters were 2 1/2 and 14 months old. We were leaving an in home daycare provider we adored and they had been with since 3 months old. I was extremely nervous about moving them but Tera made us feel comfortable from the start. I left knowing La Petite was the place for us and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The teachers there clearly love our girls and they love going there. They are now 3 and 4 years old and I am constantly amazed at what they are learning. They both insist on giving hugs to all the teachers before they leave at the end of the day, a true testament to how much they adore the staff. We have had to alter our schedule on occasion, moving from 4 days a week to 5 or switching our day off. Tera is extremely accommodating every time I have a special request. We receive updates throughout the day about what the girls are doing and learning and pictures too! I feel connected to my kids even while I'm at work all day. I highly recommend La Petite Academy!!

When my wife and I needed to find a daycare for our 2 year-old we scheduled a tour at 3 local daycare/preschools. La Petite Academy was our first daycare visit and I was immediately impressed by how bright and clean the building was. Everything looked well-maintained and safe for the children. The second two centers we visited didn't even compare. The second one was so dark, dank, and cramped, I didn't even want to visit the 3rd place; I just wanted to enroll in La Petite Academy! We visited the 3rd center anyway and it was more expensive with all kinds of add-on costs (including additional costs to teach the children music and reading lessons... shouldn't that be included?). Anyway, we sent our daughter to La Petite Academy in January 2013 and have been more than pleased with her experience there. The staff is very friendly and willing to work with parents about issues such as; potty-training, separation anxiety, and trouble napping. The director and assistant director know all of the children by name and make me feel like they know what is going on in all the classes throughout the day. From the beginning, I felt very comfortable leaving my daughter there for a full day even though she has never been in a daycare setting before this year. My daughter recently celebrated her 3rd birthday at La Petite and they made sure it was a special day for her and she was given a birthday card from the director, from her teachers, and from her classmates. I will continue to send my daughter to La Petite Academy and would recommend it to my friends and family.

My wife and I have been sending our son here for close to 2 years. Searching for the right daycare can be a very exhausting and difficult process. We visited several places and there were plenty that we "liked" and several that we didn't. Thankfully, our decision was easy after visiting La Petite. The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming, and answered all of our questions and concerns to a tee. We left with a warm, comforting feeling that we didn't feel anywhere else. To this day, we couldn't be happier with our decision. Our child has been in different rooms with different teachers and we are confident that the love and care towards our child and all others is first tier. The teaching staff is very energetic, loving, and dedicated to their craft. It takes a special person to handle several young children at once, and I have not encountered a single teacher or staff member here that doesn't have that ability. I would highly recommend La Petite to anyone looking for a safe, loving environment for their child to grow and learn.

We came to La Petite from an in home daycare and started off in the Toddler room. Our son recently transitioned into the Two’s room with Ms. Emily & Mrs.Janna and they made us feel extremely comfortable. We receive updates and photos of what activities they are doing and the live camera view is incredibly helpful to check in throughout the day. We love La Petite, the staff and our son loves coming here. We definitely recommend La Petite!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have been at La Petite for over a year now and both my boys love it! We came to La Petite from an in home daycare and I was nervous about coming to a "center" but it has been fabulous. My youngest is 18 months and already speaks a wide vocabulary. My oldest is in preschool and is spelling words. I love the structure they have there, the curriculum, and how the staff really cares about the kids.

My daughter is 11 months old and has been at La Petite Academy for two months now. This is the second daycare that she has attended, and let me say I am BEYOND impressed! When I first toured, I couldn't believe how clean and organized the school was as a whole. Currently, she is in the infant's room. The room is beautiful and bright, the selection of toys to play with is endless, and each child has their own crib with their picture on it. More importantly, the quality of care is unsurpassed. Ms. Karina and Ms. Darlene are so wonderful with my daughter and show her attention as if she was their own! No parent WANTS to leave their child in the care of a stranger, but at La Petite Academy they treat your child like family. I have never had any concerns whatsoever. If you are looking at daycares in the area, I urge you to enroll your child at La Petite Academy.

I enrolled my son in La Petite in 2009, when he was 6 months. My child has learned so much and loves the activities. The teachers and director listen to my concerns. My son is now 7 years old and enjoy summer camp and having a fun time with friends. Thank you La Petite for all you do!
