Kids had a great time! It was our 1st time this year and I must say it was definitely warmer than in the past and love the new partitions you can actually see through. Way to go on your improvements Pekin Park!

What makes it so special is the intergenerational locker room mingling. The Pekin community isn't large, but it is brotherly and fierce.

Pekin sees little transient traffic and shares a parking lot with the highschool (and an even shorter schedule). Instead, locals embrace the exclusivity and dominate the ice with the intimacy of a cherished childhood playground.

The older woman who is charge of ice lessons has a problem instructing boys who wear hockey skates. I am very disappointed in the quality of instruction and the fairness of treatment with respect to this program. Don't waste your money here.

Wonderful facility for the young hockey players. The young kids that kept walking back and forth during the hockey match kind of ruined it. These young people seem to be there for the socialization rather than the match. I sat with an elderly lady who couldn't climb up into the higher seats. We missed about half the action. If they're going to get up and walk that much? They should sit near exit.

Love this place! Would totally recommend to others. The facility is a little run down, but I don’t really care about that. It makes it feel more hometown. The only reason I go is for the ice skating and they always have really good ice. And for those of you who complain about the cold, you need to realize it’s a ice rink. Ice rinks, by nature, are cold. 🥶❄️🏒⛸🧊

Not bad, could benefit from a bigger budget, but it's not really a for profit place. Quite cold if you are in the bleachers watching the ice. Other areas are warmer. Bathrooms are a bit run down. The glass is rather scratched up and they don't raise the nets for the ice skating show, so it's hard to get a good video of your kid skating. Snack bar staff are friendly.

The ice is full of craters, which makes skating smoothly almost impossible. Very hard for beginners to skate with holes in the ice. The staff was rude and did not allow kids to use walkers without being yelled at. Told us we were not allowed to skate fast or play tag with our group. Overall terrible experience for our group of 11 ppl.
