Went into the hope chest today for the first time and it instantly made my allergies just fly off the handle. It definitely wasn’t the cleanest hit the prices weren’t bad at all. But some things were a little off. The furniture area was definitely where the steals were!

I appreciate that they came to my house to pick some pieces of furniture for donation. Unfortunately, they left several large scuff marks (with large dents) on the walls. We're going to be selling our house, and now this is something we have to repair prior to putting it up for sale. We might have been better off keeping the items in the house rather than donating them to the Hope Chest. It's unfortunate that they caused such significant damage. This might sound selfish and uncaring, but it's hard to feel good about donating things when they damage your house, and create more work and expense. Also, the resale shop that I donated to didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing them when they picked up items I was donating.

I am so disappointed in the Hope Chest, we had donated to them a couple of years ago and had a great experience. My Mom passed away and I have a storage unit full of her belonings. I call Hope Chest and spoke with Tendra who was less than joyful about my donation but set up a date for them to pick up, I told her over the phone what I was donating. 2 guys arrived on date set up which I had to take off work. Upon arrival CLIFF got out of the truck I said good morning how are you and his response was TIRED....he looked around the unit and said how long has this been here and I said I wasn't sure because it had been moved there from another unit, may about a year, he says I won't take any of the boxes which was most of her household belongings all packed by professional movers...I ask why and he said mice, I said you don't want it or you are to tired to move it, he got smart back and I said okay lets just forget I'll find someone else, he says fine and then turned around and says hey don't forget my name when you complain....I just don't understand how they can be rude and unappreciative to those who are donating as without donations they have no business which means no job.....

Took a trunk And back seat full of stuff there. Tons of people out back smoking and having a good time. I greeted them with no response in return. Ask where they would like the stuff I was "donating" in reply, I got we are overwhelmed just give it to me. Wow. You are getting it for Free be more grateful. Without donations that are in fact being sold there. You wouldnt have a job! Never again!

I like to shop from Hope chest, and I also like to donate things that I do not need to them, and all the workers there are respectful and respect the shoppers, except for one of them, whose name is Heather. She is very bad at dealing with customers
