I have used Jovie for the last 6 months since i had my first child and its been a lifesaver for child care options. Being a first time mom I was extremely worried about going back to work full time and managing a balance between a high stress job and new little one. I found out about Jovie through a benefit plan through work that helps assist new moms and it has been nothing but a wonderful experience!

Since this is my first child I am overly cautious especially with someone new watching my baby. I have worked with a few different nanny's over the 6 months and all were wonderful! Keri has been providing care for me recently and has been exceptional! She plays, sings, and teaches my now 10 month old constantly throughout the day and my little girl adores her!

She lights up when Keri comes over as i think she knows it will be a fun day! She seems to be developing more as well as Keri works with her a lot in developing her learning and skills!

If you were like me and worried about finding childcare, I would highly recommend Jovie. It put all my worries aside. Their childcare team are educated and work hard to make great experiences for your children. You can feel safe and secure!

We’ve been using Jovie for almost 3 years. Our wonderful nanny, Sage, is amazing and I can’t imagine life without them. Sage is very attentive with our twins and is a huge reason why our boys were READING at 2.5 years old. Like, for real reading, not just their ABCs. Another great thing about Jovie is that whenever Sage is sick or has a conflict, the office works really hard to find us a replacement so we are never without childcare. All of their nannies are top-notch and have been great. I highly recommend Jovie of Barrington!

Our organization has used Jovie and we have been quite happy with the sitters they have sent us. The kids really love to see Kandi each week. Kandi interacts with the children with such kindness and care. She is always quick to engage with them and they love the games she comes up. We are happy to have her!

We have been working with Jovie of Barrington for a few years now.. the experience has been nothing less than great. The whole team there, is super responsive and accommodating.. often helping us even with last minute requests.

I expect to continue working with them until such time that we need nanny/sitting services.

When this company was not a corporate conglomerate you actually received service. Now even after paying $30 per hour for a sitter with a 3 hour minimum, the sitter never shows, or the sitter shows up late (yet per Linda I still have to pay the 3 hour minimum) or on one instance the sitters car broke down and she didn’t even do her job and I was charged for hours not worked. In the last instance Linda replied “I cannot keep track of 250 employees to see if they are all honest.” Linda was well aware of this particular situation and was even the one to let us know that this would be an issue. So yes Linda you should be aware. How can you not make sure you are hiring honest employees when you charge such high rates under the pretense that they are vetted? Refunding me after the fact does not bring trust.

Also I would agree with the last review that she is very standoffish to work with now that her agency has grown.

Today the sitter didn’t show. Lindas response well “since we have gone to the new scheduling system things have been more difficult in keeping track of schedules.” That is literally your job to make the process easier for parents not harder.

Also please look at Jovie’s reviews with a discerning eye. I am not sure which employer will force her current employees to review her on google. They are not the clients. We guardians are.

Do NOT contact for part time help. She has openly admitted that she is unable to provide this. That is why I had to pay an even higher negotiated rate with minimum hours. But in spite of paying all of the extra money, she failed in providing the help I paid for.

Also I didn’t get my required tax statements without reaching out each time.

For those of you who do not know Jovie is a private equity backed company. This is Wall Street trying to take care of your children and like everything Wall Street backed their job is to churn money. Bottom line only. That is why they have such predatory business practices like making you pay for their employees PTO. I can understand with Covid the cost of running businesses has gone up. But how can you exploit the market and charge your clients the PTO. You are already covering that when your cost is above market average. Restaurants were affected the most by Covid but I don’t see them passing charges like PTO to the customers.

BTW she will probably bury this review as she has done to others!!

Our experience with Jovie has been nothing short of amazing! Our family has been with Jovie for over 5 years, and the two nannies we have had in our home have been absolutely wonderful. When we decided to start looking for nanny services for our two children, we liked the idea of Jovie. Linda, the owner, came to our house and was so nice. Some of the huge benefits of Jovie is they do all the vetting and they find nannies who would be a great fit for your family. They even help find replacements if your current nanny is sick. Linda and her staff have been so helpful. Her communication and assistance have been impeccable. If you are looking for a nanny for your home, or even babysitting services, I highly recommend you reach out to Linda and Jovie.

We have had such great experiences with all the sitters. Easy to book and all the sitters have been wonderful with my kids. We used Jovie when our full time nanny went on maternity leave. Jovie set us up with a nanny that fit our needs and the kids still ask about her. I love the flexibility in booking and Linda was always responsive. Our full time nanny is back, but I absolutely plan to continue to use this service as needed for date nights or when my nanny needs PTO.

Our experience with Jovie has been amazing! We have been working with Jovie since our first son was born in 2020 and have nothing but good things to say. We have had a variety of long term nannies and short term sitters placed with us to watch our two boys (both under two years old). The app make it easy to find out if sitters are available but I know I can always call Linda, the owner for personalized assistance.

Linda has done a tremendous job finding responsible, well qualified, and compassionate nannies and sitters to watch our children every time! I know that I can call her day or night and she will always respond quickly and professionally. Knowing that our most precious gifts, our children, are being well taken care of gives us piece of mind while at work or out.

We have even used the Jovie services out of state for a family wedding. We contacted their local branch and were able to have a sitter watch our children while we attended the wedding. We were thrilled that we could receive the highest level of care for our children even outside of our home state. If asked, I would recommend Jovie time and time again to parents looking for qualified childcare.
