When I started Jack Welch Management Institute last year I had a few concerns. What would they teach someone who had been in business for more than 25 years? Would I be successful balancing JWMI with family and career? Could I keep up after not being in a formal education setting for two dozen years?

I have completed three courses now in communications, marketing and global leadership and in each course I have learned a significant amount. Beyond that I find myself digging for more learning in the course areas. I have found many opportunities to network with students, faculty, staff, and the JWMI community furthering that learning experience.

My courses do take anywhere from 8-15 hours per week per class, depending on assignments. I get started on Sunday night to get ahead of the curve and to take into account the challenges and opportunities that arise from family, career, and life.

The staff, faculty, classmates and the community have all been there when guidance, mentoring, tutoring, or encouragement were needed to complete assignments and keep moving forward. The experts of practice, who are the leaders of industry, add depth that really is amazing.

I am almost a year in and I would recommend JWMI to anyone looking for a top notch MBA program.

I initially wanted an MBA to have a piece of paper that would allow me to climb the corporate latter. But having completed the degree at JWMI, I learned much more than I ever expected. The professors all have industry experience and care very much for each of their students. They are always there if needed. Also, had great interaction with classmates, even though it was all online. If you want to learn leadership under one of the biggest and savvy business men in the business, Jack Welch, JWMI will not disappoint you. Jack is involved in the school and is not just a "name" on the title of the school.

I am in the final few courses of my MBA through JWMI and give it a full five star rating. The absolute commitment to real and meaningful education is the best I have experienced. I entered the program at 50 years old with many college and business experiences to draw from and I must say the people and effort that is put forth each and every day is incredible at JWMI. We are not just a students- we are customers. They practice everything they preach and listen to the voice of the customer - then they act on what they have heard. Most schools move at a snails pace to try and catch up with technology, methods and student needs. JWMI leads the pack by far.
