Pretty cut and dry. The classroom instructor I had was very patient, informal and approachable. The 3 weeks I was in the yard got a little monotonous but practice makes perfect. Instructors were pretty understanding of any real world/life issues that may have popped up and that you needed to take care of. The yard was more of a group effort, you rely on each other to get the training done and it for most people including myself, that’s the easiest way to learn. On your own and through trial and error. There are more students than instructors, they try their best to make the daily hours work for everyone but at the end of the day, you’re training is only going to be as good as you make it.

If you want to get your CDL this is the place to go. I graduated from the Iowa side of the program and had so much help along the way. Tesla will help you from start to end and go out of her way to try and help with life’s situations very grateful to have had her. And my instructor Chad….. most amazing instructor I’ve ever had. Gives it to you straight hammers the knowledge into you until your ready. This school will get you to exactly where you need to be, but how hard you work for it is always up to you!

I had a great time meet lots of interesting people. The instructor's were great,but we always had broken down trucks. And not enough time with the instructor because she had to do drive test two days a week.

I have to say 160 Driving Academy is definitely the best trucking academy in the land. Before coming here i had never driven a stick shift nor been inside a tractor and yet today i obtained my CDLs with perfect driving. Id give them 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My over all experience with 160 Academy was good. The instructors were very helpful, and knowledgeable. My learning experience was great. The only bad thing I have to say about it was that they need more instructors and more drive time.

The first week is overwhelming and intimidating being that there is so much to learn but Ari made my experience as easy as possible. She was patient and was there for any additional help or questions I had. There were some issues with the trucks so some days the students had to take turns alternating with one truck but other than that I’d recommend academy to others.

Class was very helpful, and I learned a lot, Lead instructor was great and very helpful, very patience for the most part. But highly recommend going through 160!

Defiantly hands on experience and Ari is an amazing instructor to work with. She made sure we were comfortable. Could use some more helpers in the yard but pretty great experience.
