Our son Suryan has been coming here for almost 2 years now. He really looks forward to his Sunday morning ritual and I truly believe it has helped him to excel at school. He always scores at the top of all the standardized tests that LAUSD administers and ranks at the top of his class for all subjects. The instructors focus on the areas he is interested in and also the areas that needed help based on the aptitude test they gave him.

This Sylvan center was highly recommended by one of my friends who has two of her sons in the program for the past year. I wanted to try it for my daughter. We did the assessment test with Sylvan and my daughter was in her grade level. Dr. Coker mentioned that she probably doesn’t need the tutoring since she is at her grade level. However, I wanted her to try it. We did few sessions and signed up for a year. My daughter’s skills have improved and she is been doing even better in school. She loves going to the center since they have a motivating point system for the kids. I highly recommend you giving it a try if you are looking for a group tutoring.

Highly recommend! I have two daughters going here twice a week for the last three months. They’ve both progressed immensely and Sylvan’s methods encourage a love of learning. My eldest said she learns more here than at school and wants to go to Sylvan forever! The director is incredibly involved, responsive, and caring. Dr. Bianca Coker is thoughtful, understanding, and truly loves her work. She walks you through the next steps of what needs to happen with your child, and also what the progress will look like for your kid. I am so happy to meet someone who goes out of their way to help ease the tutoring process for us. Aside from who Bianca is, Sylvan is a pleasant place to be. It is almost like home. My daughter enjoys going there, and it is a fun place to learn. They have dress-up weeks for extra tokens, and every team member there is loving, and it is a stress-free environment. I also want to point out that you will see progress in your child's work almost immediately. Bianca does take the time to listen to you and make necessary tweaks, and truly, I cannot ask for more!

My daughter participated in Sylvan Learning of Brentwood’s ACT test prep program. The owners and staff provide a warm and nurturing environment. While the majority of clients we saw at this facility were younger, they were age appropriate in the manner they treated my teen. One of course needs to put in their own time to review and learn, but they encouraged my daughter to stay on track with the timeline to her test. The practice tests were especially useful to pin point what to focus on during the one on one tutoring sessions. My daughter achieved an excellent score on her ACT and we highly recommend coming here whatever your educational needs may be.

I had a disappointing experience with this tutor company. They advertised a 2:1 teacher-to-student ratio, but upon starting, I found out it was actually 3:1. This discrepancy affected the quality of instruction and personalized attention. They were unresponsive to my concerns. I wouldn't recommend them based on my experience.

The owner is condesending and I would recommend going somewhere else. Try Kumon.
