My child was part of this studio for 1 year. WARNING to all parents. The ballet dance requirements have recently changed. Be aware that level 5 students are required to take 8 classes per week and level 6+ are required 10 classes per week. If your child has dreams of becoming a professional dancer, this may be the best school currently in Pueblo. If your child just loves to dance, but doesn't wish to devote every waking moment to it, there are better studio options available in Pueblo. Do your research; ask around. Pueblo has some other options available now with a more caring and nurturing environment. Also, be aware that if you (as a parent) question anything about the program or their changes, your emails will go ignored and you will be treated as if you're the problem. This is the worst treatment I've ever received from a dance studio.

We, as a family, have enjoyed watching performances and in the last few years, taking part in performing as well! My children absolutely love being members of the school of dance and I love the leadership and teamwork skills they learn while cultivating their dance skills in a professional environment. I appreciate the level of skill and experience the instructors have, this gives the dance school students a greater perspective as they venture out into possibly dancing professionally in the future. Personally, I view the Arts Center as the heartbeat of my city; one of Pueblo’s true gems!

The School of Dance at SDC has experienced many iterations of leadership both good and bad. As of the writing of this review (2019) I confidently affirm that this is a fabulous place for families and young dancers of all skill levels. Director Nanine is a consummate professional that we are very lucky to have. Dancers of all ages and skills are welcomes whether they be recreational or with professional aspirations. There is currently a great parent community to be involved with. Talented, mature and capable staff. This has been a great place for our family to build memories, friendships and has helped our children develop as people through the beauty and grit of dance.

I highly recommend the adult class. I'm very beginning, and I love it. I get a great workout and am also working on my flexibility. The teacher, Nancy, is very experienced and professional. Fun seeing some of the students en pointe. Nancy does a great job of catering to students of all levels.

Sangre deCristo Arts Center was the venue for Pueblo District 60 and Parks and Recreation production of Disney's Little Mermaid. Very nicely done and cast was phenomenal.
