The Tiny Tots class for 3-5 year olds at Aurum Equestrian Class with Suzannah is fantastic! My child, who is almost 4, absolutely loves it. Suzannah is an amazing instructor who is patient, knowledgeable, and great with toddlers. The program is well-organized, and my child has had a wonderful time learning to care for a horse and ride. I highly recommend this program for anyone looking to introduce their young child to horse riding!

My daughter started horse riding recently and has fallen in love! A massive part of this is due to her trainer Suzannah who is a amazing teacher. We are so lucky that we ended up at this barn and found her! I highly recommend this facility and Suzannah for all your riding needs.

Absolutely gorgeous facility with a wooded serene feel. The indoor is brightly lit and spacious. The outdoor is also big and stocked with quality jumps. The horses are well cared for and content. I especially admire the spaciousness of the turnouts which have wonderful shade from all of the pine trees. The owner is a competitive rider and it shows in the upkeep of the facility. Super close to the Colorado Horse Park so easy access to shows.
A+ facility!

This review is only for the property owner and conditions of the establishment and not the trainers at this location. With that said the owner has a horrible attitude, the horses were living in horrendous conditions, and you will be nickle-and-dimmed to death. I heard in the Denver equestrian community that the owner was difficult to work with and will charge you for breathing in her general vicinity but I was in a bind personally and didn’t have a chance to shop for another place before my previous barn shut down. Needless to say my horse was living in his own manure covered in flies the whole time he had to be here. Other boarders, lesson riders, and even workers thought there were WAY too many horses in such a small area. However, as I learned myself, any concerns or discussions with the owner fell of deaf and foul attitude ears. The group turnout had 6-7 horses in about 1 acre. All other horses are in small enclosures for their ‘pasture/turnout time’. That is your only option for $1400 a month (just board). When I put in notice the owner made sure to send me 5 invoices in a row, threaten to put a lien on my horse, and sent made up charges when we disagreed about a provision in the boarding contract (I pointed out that her definition of ‘proration’ is factually wrong-I happen to do equine law and knew I would win in court but seriously don’t have time for dealing with volatile people who can’t understand basic contract law). Make sure you get a copy of anything you sign and that everyone understands the terms, even if they seem straight forward and obvious (like the definition of proration) to avoid any issues. I’ve been in the equine industry for over 25 years in various parts of the country and abroad and this owner’s behavior was so egregious and the horses living conditions were so poor I felt the need to write a review. And I am fully aware there will be many people who are friends/business associates who will comment and say I am completely wrong, etc. etc. but I, as a horse owner in the community, feel more at peace telling my truth for others to take into consideration when looking for a place to board and ride.

Nicola and Aurum Equestrian is top notch is all aspects of boarding and training! I am the H/J trainer there and the wholistic care of the horses is unparalleled, from the best barn managers, to nutritionists provided on site. Nicola keeps her barn clean, laid back, professional, fun and educational!

Aurum has a school horse program, leases available on site and trainers of all disciplines to take your riding where you’re looking to go! Highly recommended!
