I took an introduction stained glass class with Molly and loved it. The class was a group of four - really the perfect size. Not only did Molly teach us how to create the project right in front of us, but she taught us how to do other projects as well, where supplies are kept, and how to create them if she weren't around. It was incredibly helpful but not too long winded. Molly is an engaging and thorough teacher. I highly recommend her stained glass class.

This was my first experience at TinkerMill's monthly Repair Café, and it was excellent. All the volunteers were happy to be there and contribute to a great cause, which is to promote sustainability and reduce waste.

I brought in a hairdryer with a damaged cord and a toaster oven with a broken temperature control. While I had a fix in mind for the hairdryer, the volunteer who helped me suggested a more elegant solution, and we went with that. The toaster oven required diagnosis, and the repair was a lot easier than we'd anticipated. There were no guarantees, but two for two--YAY! I liked that I got to assist with the repairs and am hoping in the future, I could learn how to actually have more hands-on experience (like with the soldering) and have someone instructing/overseeing me.

This was a wonderful opportunity to learn how to repair household items, and I love that they will now have a longer useable life. While I was there, I also learned more about the classes and events TinkerMill hosts as well as the kinds of equipment and supplies available to make cool stuff. THIS is a real neighborhood gem, and I recommend you check out TinkerMill!

It’s a place of wonder with awesome people with tons of experience and wisdom. I constantly feel pulled back to this place from my own lab . Sometimes you walk in and you meet someone that has been crafting or building things longer than you were alive . This place is a haven for those with curiosity especially if your a hands on Learner like me . They hold classes that get you to work on and build a things with your hands . If you’re into pottery or glass blowing this place is a good fit. I’m more of a tinker/hobbyist in electronics, 3d printing and machining . This place has tons for those liking that and also for welding as well. If you like to build things or like to meet the people that build them . This a good place to network as well.

TinkerMill is an amazing place where you can be creative or prototype designs for a new business you want to start. It has so many different kinds of tools and shops that you could never have in your own garage. Whether you like woodworking, milling metal in a machine shop, cutting with lasers hammering hot metal on an anvil, working with fine metals or gem stone in the jewelry and lapidary shop, melting glass with a torch or putting glass together in stained glass, sewing up hammock to lounge in the trees or a heavy, thick, leather bike bag, throwing clay on a wheel (no ghosts here) or melting aluminum in the foundry to make sandcast parts., there’s something for everyone.

This is an amazing place. The shops are all full of great tools, the people are knowledgeable and helpful. And the prices for shop time and membership are an amazing value compared to buying your own tools and utilities overhead.

Tyler is a Rockstar, made our project come to life! He even stayed late to help us finish and was willing to make adjustments on the fly.

Update: After not responding for 2.5 months, someone finally got back to us and refunded the past two months that were supposed to be canceled.

The "class" I took here for rapid prototyping was a joke and lasted for 20 mins out of the hour scheduled. If you're femme, guys can get creepy so definitely be prepared for like 5 engineers with no social skills hitting you up with awkward small talk wherever you go.

The concept of this place is pretty cool, but the administration of it is an absolute disaster
