Let me start with the fact that the client is a twin pack of two 3-year-old Jack Russells, and all that this entails: high energy, stubborn and self directed, including selective hearing, and some absolute craziness.
Through some very detailed and thorough research, I concluded that Colorado K9 would be the best trainers for Olive and Niko, brother and sister, by the way.
Upon initial consultation with Michelle, I felt she was very, very qualified to provide the training necessary to change behavior and create a happier and more controlled environment for our puppies. I loved her enthusiasm and her commitment to providing us the best training possible. Best part, the way that our puppies immediately engaged with Michelle, let me know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we had found the right place.
We chose the two-week total immersion training program, and our decision was completely validated, upon their graduation from the program. Based on the results achieved, that were present from day one of bringing them home, we would choose to do so all over again, in a heartbeat.
Specifically, both pups came home more confident, independent and much quicker to listen and obey commands that they learned so well while in Michelle’s charge.
This included being around other dogs, people, engaging in interactive situations, such as outdoor restaurants, parks and even in the neighborhood setting of taking a walk. We understood that much of this was accomplished by the fact that Michelle’s program utilizes other dogs to train our own, specifically, individual training that takes place in front of other dogs also being trained, learning from each other, which is a technique I have never seen before. We have been to plenty of other training services that were not total immersion and there is absolutely no comparison and no long-standing results from these previous experiences.
I am so thankful for Michelle and Colorado K9’s commitment to long term results and change for our beloved puppies. I could not recommend their services more highly and I would be happy to discuss the experiences we have had in more detail, as needed. This investment will by far be one of the best you will make, for the well being of your loved pets. Could not be more pleased or appreciative of this experience for my own.

Sending our puppy Ember to Colorado K9 was the best decision! They are a group full of wonderful people that care so much about what they do and love the pups unconditionally. Ember graduated and is going so well at home and she even enjoys going back during the weeks for day training. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone!

My dog, Clementine, went here for a 3 week board and train. My main concerns were her recall, her herding instincts, and her confidence. Cole worked with her and did great! He did an awesome job of training and showing me how to continue the work. I would definitely suggest this option to anyone struggling with training in group classes.

Our two German shepherds went to Colorado K9 for a 3 week board and train. They were previously hyperactive on the leash, barked at other dogs and humans, and their recall was pretty non-existent. After getting them back from the board and train, they can walk loose leashed and don’t react to other dogs/humans. We are very impressed with Cole, Sophia and Ella and highly recommend them!

Michelle was a blessing and a half to me and my boy chance. He’s a half Great Dane half pit bull who needed a lot of training just for some obedience. But it was like night and day when I got him back from her training program. My boy loves her to pieces and she equally loved him with the same intensity! Best dog trainer NA my opinion!

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Colorado K9 Training Academy and our trainer, Cole. We sent our 6-month-old Boxer puppy, Roscoe, to their 2-week board and train program, and the transformation was nothing short of amazing.

Before training, Roscoe was extremely reactionary with other dogs and people, walking him was a nightmare, and forget about him coming when called. But when we picked him up, it was night and day. Now, he is an absolute joy to walk, no more pulling or lunging, and he completely ignores distractions unless we give him permission. His greeting manners have drastically improved, and he no longer jumps on people.

Cole and the entire team at Colorado K9 Training Academy are top-notch professionals, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality training program for their dog. If you’re on the fence, don’t be, this place is the real deal!

The trainers are absolutely amazing. Not only to they work to understand what motivates your dog, but they help you become a better owner. Changing how you behave with your dog is hard, but they understand and help without judgement. I am doing additional training sessions to train me. I highly recommend Colorado K9 Training Academy. Ally and the entire Colorado K9 Training Academy is absolutely AMAZING! Our puppy Oakley went through the Board and Train program and it was the best investment we could have made. His behavior at home and in public places is impeccable. When we were out at a brewery last week so many people commented how well trained he is! This is a great foundation, it sets you on the right path from the start!
