Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary is like no other. It's best described as a final resting place for old dogs no longer wanted. The facility is modern and clean with staff and volunteers who attentively and intentionally provide everything these dogs need. It's kind of a blend of daycare and home for aging dogs. There is plenty of space provided for the dogs in their rooms and outdoor areas. They are loved on by volunteers who might sit with them, groom them, or take them for walks or a stroll in a stroller (for those who can't go very long). It's an amazing place with an amazing mission.

I came across Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary back in June of 2023. I wanted to donate some of my dog's things to help other dog's in need and wow did I find the perfect place! What they are providing for these dog's is simply amazing! If you have not toured the facilities you are missing out! They are loving, thoughtful, secure and gentle with all of their precious animals they bring in.

I have seen many animal shelters but this one is by far the best. These dogs have the best care, cleanest establishment I have ever seen. Smells amazing. If I was a dog this is where I would love to live. They are loved by the staff and it shows.

This place is amazing! I took a group of teenager summer camp kids on a visit here and Karyn and Richard gave us an amazing tour and showed the campers and myself the importance of the work that they do. Their mission, their work, and their facilities are fabulous. This is nothing like any animal shelter you have seen before. This is a true sanctuary for senior dogs that need and deserve human love and care.

Much love and appreciation for everyone involved in this incredible place!

Once I get over being devastated from losing my best friend Butkus for 18 years I’ll try to mend my heart by volunteering to foster or adopt senior dogs. I think this is a great place to start over at 68? We’ll see. Thanks for your kind words.

This is the most amazing place for Senior Dogs I have ever seen! They stay there and are cared for for their good days, bad days, and last days! Not an adoption shelter! Full medical facility, Massage, hydrotherapy and lots of love from the amazing care team and volunteers! If you’re looking for worthwhile place to donate, or close enough to volunteer, please check out Peppers!!

I've never been to the sanctuary, personally, but what I've read, you people are the most AWESOME people for having a place for elder dogs to go, that won't be put down, just because of their age...
I need to go to the sanctuary, I know I, too, will never want to leave. If there is an animal in need of love and attention, I'm there!!
