Otomi Martial Arts is the place to go for BJJ in you’re in the Denver Area! Coach Gonzo and the whole crew were very welcoming from the moment you open the doors. Everything from the atmosphere to the people to the drilling was amazing. Gonzo has a gift for teaching - we were learning mount escapes and he broke down each step thoroughly but at the same time simply enough for the less experienced grapplers to understand. Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area!

I’ve been training in several grappling arts for 13 years now, have competed and traveled to train at other schools nationally and internationally. Otomi Martial Arts and Prof. Gonzo create a great environment for first timers and experienced grapplers to grow and improve. The coaching staff truly cares about improving the student’s lives on and off the mats, also each has their own impressive lineage and experiences to share. Couldn’t recommend this location more to anyone wishing to learn martial arts both kids and adults.

My son loves learning BJJ at Otomi. We always had to drag my son to extracurricular activities, but not here. He’s so excited coming here and loves Coach Gonzo. He’s getting his exercise and learning discipline. Highly recommend 5/5! ☺️

My 3 kiddos attend OMA for BJJ and Muay Thai. The coaches are great. I really appreciate what my kids are learning here. The OMA community is welcoming and helpful. This is definitely a family gym. They also offer after school care and camps for an extra fee for when the kids are out of school. Highly recommend!

Our daughter (7) and son (5) have been at Otomi for 2 years. We are very appreciative of the instructional training that occurs BUT even more impressed with the behavioral expectations that are ingrained into the training. They are learning life lessons like respect, integrity, accountability, confidence, consequences and positive reinforcement.
The first day in the gym our daughter wouldn’t step foot on the mat for the entire session and now (2 years later) she doesn’t want to miss a class. Our son is full of energy and silliness. Coach Gonzo does a great job of balancing fun and letting the youngsters know when it’s time to start working hard. We are happy to be part of Otomi Martial Arts.

I called Otomi to see if they offered classes for my churches youth group for basic self defense and was able to speak with head Coach Gonzo. All I have to say is WOW and thank you. We ended up taking the introductory course and the youth in my church are still talking about how much fun it was. Even the kids that were pretty negative going into it. We all had a great time and coach Gonzo took the time to speak with the kids and make them feel comfortable as he taught the course. What an amazing experience for our church youth group.

Otomi martial arts is an excellent way to develop confidence and have fun while learning the priceless skills to defend yourself. My son started about a year ago, a few days after his 5th birthday and loves it. He’s made lasting friends and the coaching staff is the most interactive and supportive group there is. I would highly recommend giving classes a try no matter if you are 3yrs old or 103yrs old. The resume of the coaches and professors aligned to this school is second to none. Thank you for an amazing experience!
