My church since 1982. Many changes and transitions over recent years but this has been my church home for over 40 years and I believe the congregation and elders and all who've been involved truly seek the will of God. If you consider joining us for a visit, I know you will be whole heartedly welcomed and if you have any questions about us, they'll be answered immediately. Come as you are! We welcome you in person or, if you prefer, online! With the love of Christ, Janice

I love this church! Since we moved to Parker, there have been lots of changes yet we know God has big plans for it. The Staff and church family have been great. The building itself is beautiful and inviting. Services are wonderful and the Worship music is top notch! We feel at home here and our faith has grown as a result of our experience. My Wife and Daughter were even baptized this past summer and have attended Bible Studies all year. Come and experience what we have come to love.

As a senior adult, I thoroughly enjoy the services at
Southeast Christian Church. The sermons are biblical. The presentation is so easy to understand. I did not expect to love this church, what a surprise I had! I have been attending for 5 years.

Used to go to the church while growing up and they had a wonderful choir that my grandma was part of for about 15 years, give or take. Once it came time for her funeral, the church got her birthday wrong and despite their fantastic multimedia team, the staff couldn’t be bothered rotating photos of my grandma for her slide show to all be the right way. We’ve all seen the displays and performances this church used to put on and we know they aren’t lacking for funding or skill with their media department.
The staff helping set up chairs told my mom she didn’t need to set up so many chairs because funerals aren’t usually as busy as expected, despite it being standing room for multiple people at the start of the service. But what an incredibly rude thing to say to a grieving daughter about one of your congregation members. The pastor who did the service didn’t seem to necessarily want to be speaking and despite everyone crying, he tried to have people share stories; please read the room and just read more scripture.
The church goes through pastors fairly frequently, usually because they end up sleeping with a congregation member and move onto another church. The choir was scrapped over the 2022 Christmas and it was so sad because a church choir really is beautiful and it provides a great way for many members to stay involved.
Find a different church, this one is going the way of megachurches and has been for some time now.

Southeast is welcoming, warm, and inviting. Although it might look intimidating on the outside, their people come alongside you as if it's the smallest church you've been apart of. Here, you're known and loved no matter what. Great sermon content that's challenging, thought-provoking, and encouraging! And worship is amazing. Best place ever!

Southeast came into my life during a very difficult and hurt filled time. God has used this church to facilitate healing in my life. Since joining Southeast, I have experienced one God encounter after another. The worship is passionate and the teaching is challenging and biblically based. The first 6 months I was there was spent going through the book of Acts verse by verse.
I know that there is no such thing as a perfect church but I feel like my faith is growing here and I am challenged to follow Jesus more and more each day.

Southeast made my husband & I feel SO taken care of. As we moved here from TX with no family in the area, I was nervous & wasn’t sure if we would have success making connections. BUT Southeast & their staff, members, & volunteers are the most welcoming people. My husband & I are so thankful for this community who have made us feel like a part of this church family.

Addendum 11/2023: I have met with some of the church leaders and rather than manipulate and/or co-erce some sort of reprimand or retraction request against an already submitted honest and reasonably objective observation review ( see below), they reminded me that churches are comprised of flawed humans. These self same humans are just like me in many ways with strengths and weaknesses. And like me, they occasionally can benefit from anonymous constructive criticism to help us all grow.

To that end, I'm deeply apologetic to any Southeastern church members or leaders I've offended in the original review. Just the same, if the review below helped convict a better spiritual walk, I'm glad I was able to help. Notwithstanding, what I should have added to my sincere critique is some constructive suggestions like( praise team invites from culturally different churches around the metro area, or visiting evangelists who share a similar doctrinal belief system but execute differently, or celebrating fall festivals in September not to correspond with the mainstream October's Halloween to keep a sanctuary holy. All love SE Christian ❤️

Original review 09/2023: I have been to many churches in the Parker and Southeast Aurora area and they all seem to have the exact same procedural sensibility and Southeast Christian Church is not much different (from my limited viewpoint). Very often the leadership within these larger churches of this area will wear some sort of sports jersey in the pulpit, encourage some level of Halloween celebration, or make some incidental declaration of how large the lottery jackpot has become. (These are very real occurances)

For starters, with Southeast Christian Church there are these highly generic, ethno-specific, praise teams and worship ceremonies that are intended to foster a sense of peace and tranquility but instead appear derivative from radio conditioning and behind-the-scenes agendas. The non-discriminating or deliberately obtuse congregation/member willingly complies with the delivered presentation and leaves Sunday services desperately longing for genuine sincerity, diversity, and inclusive values that will ground them through the rest of the week. .

These praise teams are then followed by tattooed and street themed pastors/speakers who chronologically expound on biblical scripture with so little spiritual conviction until most services Ive attended at SE Christian are obligatory at best. Moreover, most sermons are so very unconsciously driven by a Parker/SE Aurora (my 4 and no more) suburban sensibility until their veneer of kindness is easily broken by anyone who shows up to church with limited eyesight or hearing, wheelchairs, culturally different, or generally doesn't share a U.S. republican political view. Put simply, from my purview, its a very beautiful facility, with nice white Americans , very truly attempting to achieve heaven through volunteer work and attendance.

That said, Southeast Christian church has made noticeable strides in recent weeks. I have heard the aforementioned pastors/ speakers deliver " Hard messages" to the congregation denouncing the suburban ideology of opportunism vs. spirituality . Moreover, I have likewise seen a deliberate effort by the staff to value those who are impacted by a larger scope of life integrated into the congregation with a less superficial ministry. Within recent weeks, I have heard the pastor advocate a newly formed auxiliary meeting/group to address those families impacted by the LGBTQ mainstream influence and agenda. When announced from the pulpit this intended level of outreach, the congregational response was lukewarm(which was not surprising). Conversely, I personally became hopeful for this church's spiritual longevity.

I have recently signed up for their volunteer programs to view the interior of SE Christian Church's operational motivation. I remain very very very hopeful that Southeast Christian Church can develop a "spirit led" growth pattern instead of the highly common "success led" growth pattern. Good luck ,guys
