Volunteering as a tutor with Bay Area Tutoring Association has been such a fulfilling and rewarding experience. Their goal is to truly provide support and care for all parents and students with their education. Before volunteering with BATA, I have not had much experience with teaching or tutoring. This experience has taught me so much, and has helped me become more confident in teaching moving forward.

I volunteered with BATA at Ida Jew elementary school and it was an amazing experience. The staff in the program were extremely welcoming and accommodating and made the whole experience easy. I was instructed on how to tutor the kids and was able to start tutoring right away. This experience taught me a lot about teaching, listening, and even learning and I would recommend it to anyone interested!.

I had the privilege of working as a tutor at Bay Area Tutor, and it was an immensely rewarding experience. From the minute I arrived, the personnel made me feel welcome and respected.

Bay Area Tutor offers an excellent platform for tutors to engage with students and make a genuine difference in their academic journeys. The available assistance and resources were excellent, allowing me to focus on what I do best: assisting children in learning and growing.

I truly enjoyed working with Bay Area Tutor. They clearly care about education and want to provide the best possible support for both instructors and students. I definitely suggest Bay Area Tutor to anyone looking.

I had a very good time tutoring for the BATA program. I believe this program is important in our communities because we offered free help to less advantaged students and parents. The community center I personally volunteered at was welcoming and I felt like I was able to make a difference in their academic careers. We need programs like this everywhere, such an amazing group of people who put this together.

I have been volunteering as a tutor with Bay Area tutors for a couple of months now. The tutors are well trained and care about the success of the students. I worked with 1st and 4th graders at the rocketship discovery prep school focusing on English , but they have a variety of subjects and grades to choose from that will suit your interests. I recommend this program for anyone interested in dipping their toes in teaching or education as you get hands on experience of working with students in a classroom settings.

I had a very positive experience volunteering while part of my service learning class. When I think about how much of an impact I was able to make on the students I had met during my short time tutoring, I can only be hopeful that this organization as well as others like it continue to do their work. It truly is the teachers as well that are the real heroes, I was very happy to see how involved the staff and faculty are with the students.

Over the summer of 2020, I had the privilege of volunteering through BATA. All my fellow volunteers were such loving people who truly wanted to help this world out, and so working in such an environment made volunteering such a great experience for both students and teachers. BATA is definitely a wonderful organization, so don't hesitate to send you kids here to learn, or to volunteer with them. It'll be an awesome experience.
