I volunteered with BATA at Ida Jew elementary school and it was an amazing experience. The staff in the program were extremely welcoming and accommodating and made the whole experience easy. I was instructed on how to tutor the kids and was able to start tutoring right away. I had a very good time tutoring for the BATA program. I believe this program is important in our communities because we offered free help to less advantaged students and parents. I have been volunteering as a tutor with Bay Area tutors for a couple of months now. The tutors are well trained and care about the success of the students. I worked with 1st and 4th graders at the rocketship discovery prep school focusing on English , but they have a variety of subjects and grades to choose from that will suit your interests.
