Great church with great people. The pastor is very judgy, unfortunately. He barred my problem child from children’s ministry without me being there to supervise, this resulted in me not getting fed and my child not getting why they needed either. Also, I had seen a volunteer pushing on a black child with their shoed foot on the concrete floor as she was rolling around. It would have been great if this adult female volunteer could have simply asked the child to sit up. It was very uncalled for. After all this, I won’t ever be going back.
Very traditional service…if you like this, it may be the church for you.
This was in 2017. I can’t imagine pastor Brian would remember because my family and I felt very unwelcome and judged after sitting down in a private meeting and divulging all our private pain, we left quietly shortly thereafter. His wife was sweet enough to offer to help us with some childcare during the school week and he would not allow it.
I actually saw you and your lovely wife walking down Mulberry street in Fruita a few weeks ago.
Obviously, you did not remember me, you made no acknowledgment. Which is OK.
Thanks for offering to work it out with a phone call, pastor. I don’t think I have anything to say to you in a phone call. I still drive by your church often on my way to work. I forgive you, but, I’m entitled to my opinion and this is my honest experience and I felt compelled to share publicly.
Think about what kind of kingdom impact you could have had in my son’s life, he was 10 then. He’s sixteen now and has lost some faith. The complete way I felt I will never forget. Because people don’t ever forget how your actions make them feel. God bless.
