The Delta County RE 50 school bus driver regularly speeds in Somerset. Please inform your driver that I don't appreciate the risk he's taking with YOUR children's lives. I have called and written Delta County School District, but the ignorant rednecks have refused to respond. A few minutes ago, I witnessed the driver park in the middle of the highway to let the children off, on the WRONG side of the highway, forcing them to run across highway!!!!!! West Elk Coal Mine employees and semi-tractor trailers regularly speed in EXCESS of 30-40 mph OVER the posted limit. The school bus driver is well aware of that, yet thought it was perfectly acceptable to drop the kids off in the middle of the highway and FORCING them to run across the highway, where cars, trucks and 80,000 pound semis come over a blind hill at extremely high rates of speed.It would take an 80,000 pound 18-wheeler 525 FEET to come to a complete stop after they killed YOUR child.The school bus stop is 2 blocks away at the Post office parking lot, located OFF of the highway. The driver needs to drop the kids there, where it is SAFE.
Delta County School District RE 50 needs to step up and take responsibility for the actions of their school bus drivers before YOUR child is killed by their unethical, amoral, very stupid driver.
