My daughter did a Discovery Flight today and had the best time! She’s shown interest in flying and the Discovery Flight was a great way to introduce her to it without any obligation or commitment. Our instructor, Julian, was amazing to work with. We walked the plane together doing preflight checks and taught us a lot about planes, the mechanics behind it, and explained why each check was important. We even had the exciting opportunity to watch the plane get refueled prior to the next set of checks prior to take off. Once in the air, the instructor handed control of the plane to my daughter and started having her learn how to make the plane do what she wanted to do - that said, her initial turns made my stomach swim, but she quickly picked it up and the flight smoothed out greatly. It was a beautiful, clear day with almost perfect flight conditions ❤️The instructor was super encouraging to her - even told her she was better than most at keeping her elevation and speed steady! Overall, this was an amazing experience and I’d encourage everyone to give a Discovery Flight ✈️ a chance. At the end, my daughter was issued a temporary flight log and already has 1.1 hours towards training needed to pursue a private pilot license! We will be back to work on her training as I haven’t seen her smile so beautifully in a long time. Thank you, Summit (and Julian), for the amazing experience!

Finished my Commercial flight training here, was an outstanding experience. The instructors are here to teach, not to build time, and everyone displays a lighthearted professionalism that creates a perfect environment for learning. The only limiting factor for success is yourself, as everyone is willing to help you achieve your goals in any way they can. The airplanes are priced higher than some flight schools, but are maintained very well, and they are very rarely down for any inconvenient amount of time. This alone makes the price well worth it.
There isn’t another school in Colorado I would point people towards to learn how to fly, or to get an advanced rating. I really think
they do things right here.

Summit Flight Training is absolutely fantastic. My son and I have been taking lessons here since late January ‘22. All the instructors are very professional extremely skilled pilots, and help feel comfortable and confident every time you step into the hangar and beyond! Dane has been our primary instructor from the start, and has helped us rapidly excel by constantly tailoring training to our abilities and schedules. Summit offers the type of flight training we were looking for, and their goal has always been to help us succeed as long as we put forth the time and effort to help reach our own goals. We can’t give enough positive praise to Dane and the entire staff at Summit. Thank you for helping us make this life long dream of becoming pilots, come true.

Summit is where my flying journey started and I highly recommend this institution to everyone I meet. I've gone from zero to commercial and have nothing even remotely negative to say about this flight school. Instruction has been incredible, the whole fleet is extremely well kept and maintained compared to some of the other schools i've experienced, and the attitudes from instructors and the owners has always been welcoming, honest, and professional. KGXY being a non-towered, but respectively busy airport, mixes for a wonderful training environment, especially with its close proximity to some of the busiest class Delta's in the country. Could not recommend this place more to anyone interested in becoming a pilot or continuing their journey!

I can't say enough about Summitt Flight Training! The instructors were great and very through on explaining all aspects of the plane and how it flys. Their love for flying and teaching people how to fly, shows in the way they treat you, which is awesome! I was surprised on how affordable getting licensed actually was and the financing option makes it even easier. This is something I plan on doing. Bucket List - ✅️

First Discovery Flight with Summit Flight Training. A Million thumbs up 👍!!!!!!! What an experience, I can’t thank you enough. Ken, Andrew, Jason, And my amazing Pilot Ben!!! This has taken my adrenaline and accomplishment goals to the next level. I would have never ever thought of getting in this tiny airplane and ever in a million years thought I could fly it. Even for one second. This has been a year of healing and rebuilding and re-discovering for me. Thank you, thank you , thank you for being a part of that journey. The way it all happened and was made possible was a blessing. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed and felt so comfortable, any nerves I had, went away. Ben took his time showing me a lot of things about the plane. We walked around the entire thing, and he explained so thoroughly the way the plane works and stays in the air, and how safe it really is. All the back ups for the back ups . I felt so comfortable getting in, and buckling up. I Enjoyed every minute. Ben kept it showing and explaining so many neat things while up in the air, showed all the towns that surround us, it was so interesting seeing the from the sky, I got to experience the take off and take control many times, all while being supervised and also controlled to a point if needed by Ben. We flew over my neighborhood. Seeing your town, your house, the streets, the land from the sky is really something else!!! It’s so different!!! I can’t explain it. It’s a whole other PERSPECTIVE!!!!! I feel proud of myself for stepping into this unknown. I definitely discovered a new strength and passion I never thought I had. The strength to face my fears, and try new things!!! And the passion that I never knew I could have. I am so in love with the sky, in so many more ways than before. I want to spend a lot more time in the sky, this will not be my last time flying, that’s for sure!!! Summit Flight Training is an amazing place to learn and grow as a pilot. The aircraft are all very capable and even better maintained. The staff remains professional, while still providing a relaxed place to learn and be a part of the community. I cannot say enough positive things, and I’m sure many others will agree.
