Critical Point helped my test score improve tremendously! It went up 270 points from start to finish, thanks to the attention and support I received from my tutor. I always felt comfortable asking questions until I completely understood the material and my tutor was always attentive, working with me until I fully comprehended a topic. Before working with Critical Point, I was unaware of the many strategies to help with test taking and had no plan going into each SAT. However, after they guided me to better understand the test itself, I always had a strategy going in which allowed me to calmly focus on breaking down each question and not wasting any time. She diligently put in the work over the course of one summer improved her score by 160 points. She ended up getting into her first choice college, a top 25 national university, thanks in large part to this strong test score.

Andre’s great with teens. He will push them while teaching them. He’ll build their confidence if they need it. I will definitely bring my younger daughter to Critical Point when she approaches the same age.

I was always a pretty good student in school. I was focused, got good grades, etc, but standardized tests were a whole different beast. I didn't do as well as I wanted to during the school-administered PSATs, so I turned to Critical Point (specifically Andre) to help me get where I wanted to be. At the time, he had already helped my sister improve her scores, so now it was my turn. After 16 weeks of working together, not only did my scores improve drastically, but so did my confidence and test-taking abilities in school. My son really enjoyed his time with his tutor- the team made sure to find a tutor that matched his personality ( love of sports). The test prep gained our son 7 points on the ACT- and one area was a perfect score! As a result, he received in state tuition ( saving us around 135k over 4 years) and honors college.
Although I am a professional speech writer, I wanted another set of eyes for his essay- Andre helped craft a wonderful opening paragraph! Test prep and essay help were top notch!
