This is our first year at Flagstaff and so far we are very happy and satisfied with our choice. From the cleanness of the classrooms and hallways, the amount and quality of light, to the dedication and professionalism of the staff, we think we couldnā€™t have found a better choice for our children!

Worst experience ever with kindergarten. They donā€™t challenge kids who are more advanced, theyā€™d rather let kids get in trouble for being bored in the class than providing them with tools to grow. The staff (teachers, principals, deans) is incredibly dismissive. As parents, we are very involved in our kids education but weā€™ve only found tons of barriers and obstacles to achieve this at Flagstaff. We chose this school for their cultural diversity but I am starting to have second thoughts because as an immigrant I feel that my concerns are being completely ignored.

My kids have gone to this school from preK to grade 8. Ups and downs just like any school, but the good staff, teachers, experiences, and prep for high school vastly out weighed the negatives. My high-schooler was easily able to handle a full honors academic schedule as a freshman and participate in sports - which I (and even they) attribute to the study skills, high expectations, and rigor provided at Flagstaff.

This is my daughter's third year at Flagstaff and we couldn't be more pleased. This school focuses on more than just test scores. They foster an environment where students develop character, which is more important to me than anything. It is also beneficial that the teachers in this school have always helped my daughter grow academically. Absolutely love this school and cannot wait until my younger two can join the Dragon family.

My two children have been attending Flagstaff Academy since they began preschool at age 3. Our oldest child is currently in second grade, and the youngest is in pre-K. The quality of the preschool and pre-K education here is exceptional. We have also been very happy with kindergarten through grade 2. I highly recommend Flagstaff Academy.

3-yr UPDATE: After now entering the middle school grades, I have to say everything has born out. After years of enabling, the teachers now have no problem explicitly stating how they canā€™t be bothered to provide 504 accommodations, and when presented with inevitable failing grades, all of sudden some scores were added to bring the child back up to where ā€œheā€™s not failing, so we donā€™t need to do anything more,ā€ forgetting the fact that thereā€™s still no actual learning to support the grades.
ORIGINAL: The academic standards of the school seem to be fine if your child doesnā€™t require any extra attention. As long as the child is getting passable grades, which seem to be handed out like candy at Halloween (blindly pass them out so you can get on to the next child), they donā€™t have to put too much effort into meeting their academic goals.
A child who can barely math at the lower grade standard can easily pass with Aā€™s and Bā€™s!
It seems the school doesnā€™t know the difference between positive encouragement and enabling, which is frightening and frustrating.
But not more so than their cunning ability to slip and slide their way around any type of actually useful and relevant accommodation, since it means someone there would actually have to take the time to learn about the childā€™s actual needs, not just their own limited and intellectually-uninformed perception of the childā€™s needs.

Teachers are rude, The place is very unhygienic, And they do not give a donkeys rear end about your mental health. School food is terrible. The teachers pay no attention to the students leading them all to fail.

Terrible teachers with no training and has been going down hill. The academics at fine but not worth the money going here.
