We visited this park during the week 3 days in a row, and it was beautiful and fished, relaxed. We enjoyed the river running next to the pond. A dog friendly place and evadently was lucky that it wasn't crowded as some of the reviews stated.

Unfortunately there are many dog owners who do not clean up after their pets. I am always picking up after other dog owners. Many others leave trash laying around when there are plenty of trash receptacles. It's unfortunate as it is a great place to walk my dogs and observe nature.

We locals have been calling it the "Gravel Pits" for at least 16 years, and the improvements since then are great. I am grateful for the posted rules, indicating required flotation devices--from inflated arm rings to boats--when in the water. This is a really nice place to take kids of any age for summer swimming, especially if you are on a stricter budget and can't afford the Rec Center as much. The park next to it is also well kept and peaceful, the small nearby wood between the pond and the river is fun to explore, and there's always plenty of people to interact with.

Nice popular small out of the way city park behind PEPSI. Picnic tables and grassy area. Nicely treed. Small fishing lake (CO license required) Launching pad for boats. No water nor modern facilities. Porto-potties.

Fun place for the entire family. Cold, deep and has tons of bass and blue gill and have seen the occasional catfish slurp food off the surface. Bring your float tunes, paddle boards or arm floaties and have a darn good time!!

The park was clean and lake looked nice. I fished the stream below the boat launch and had some action on nymphs.

Nice clean, not a lot of parking. We went on a Sunday and at about 1:00pm it started getting pretty packed. We got there about 11:00 perfect time not very many people.
