5'5" female solo hiker and I did it in 2 hours including taking some pictures at viewpoints.

This is the perfect go-to hike when you want some nature and views. I love that it gets all of the uphill done at the beginning (really not bad), and then it's chill the rest of the way. That and the length are the only reason I'd even call it moderate. Just a lovely hike and a lovely day. Nothing super spectacular, but solid, hence the 4 stars.

Very nice Open Space for hiking! Some perfect loops here around and over the mesa, allowing beautiful views over the nearby ranchland and the foothills. Perfect for off-season hiking if you don't want to get up into the snow. Nice shaded areas as well, in case it's a hot day.

Lived in Franktown since 1998 and always chose Castlewood Canyon since it was so close. Spruce Mountain is a great hike, family and pet friendly and has some fantastic views. Highly recommend it if you haven't been here yet and live close by.

This is a great trail for families. My husband, two kids and I hiked this trail with friends and it was gorgeous. We even did a little geo caching near the top.

There’s something here for everyone: lakes, ponds, plains, plateaus, the whole shebang. It’s a beautiful place to fill with beautiful memories and plenty of space to spread out from everyone else. I would recommend this place to people with pets, kids, grandparents, etc. It’s a good place for anyone and everyone who love the outdoors.
