Pretty gardens with informative markers about the plants and displays. There are many benches and picnic tables to rest at along with an easy path to follow to see all the sights. There's a children's garden with a book trail and a cute gnome home. It's free to visit (donate if you can) and very well maintained.

Great place to wander around and look at various plants, grasses and trees that grow well in the local climate. Paths are well maintained and many volunteers put in countless hours of labor to maintain and upgrade the gardens. The Christmas time event with horse drawn wagons, lights and a visit from Santa was well received by those that braved the cold weather. Well worth the trip.

Absolutely beautiful garden in Montrose. Free (please donate!) and open dawn to dusk. I saw one family in the several hours I spent here. It is beautifully laid out and maintained with helpful suggestions throughout about xeriscaping. They have sections for cacti, drought-resistant plants, shade loving plants, grasses, herbs and more. This is a wonderful place to escape and spend a few hours in search of beauty. Highly recommended

Although we just found out about this hidden gem, we had a nice stroll through the autumn gardens. I love the way they give suggestions on plants that need little water to survive. We have to think about this when we are designing our gardens.

I've LOVED volunteering to Face Paint the past two years for the Scare Crow Festival at the Montrose Botanical Gardens! The gardens are well maintained and decorated this time of year as well which is such a BLAST!

As long as the leaves are on the trees you could be off to smell something beautiful at the Montrose Botanical Gardens!

Lovely space! Spent about 30 minutes taking it in. Obviously a lot of hard work put into caring for it.

Not the prettiest this time of year, but still a nice place to walk around in. The flowers and trees are all identified. Lots of little side paths.
