This school has been so wonderful for our two sons. We really benefit from the small class sizes as well as the commitment of the school to integrate art, music, theater, and languages into the curriculum (even in the early grades). As someone who strongly believes in the benefit of a well rounded liberal arts education, I love that these disciplines are appreciated for their intrinsic worth and not regarded as "specials." My kids get to spend a lot of time outdoors and love having the opportunity to help on the working farm.

A fantastic school - makes me want to be a kid again just so I can go here. Our son is in the Early Childhood class and has been attending this school since 2014 and it has made such a tremendous positive impact on not only his life, but every one of us in our 4 person family. Not only are the grounds beautiful (and perfect for daily adventures) but the teaching has been second to none. His teacher's attentiveness to our son's development has been incredible and has brought so much insight and richness to our family life and, more than anything, it has made raising children an adventure in discovery. I highly recommend this school.

Our experience in the early childhood program at the Boulder Valley Waldorf School has been excellent. We are happy to have our daughter in a loving and nurturing environment to play and grow. She loves the healthy mid-morning snack; she gets a lot of outdoor play and comes home with new songs every week!

We LOVE Boulder Valley School. My son is in the first grade and he loves going to school every day. The Teachers are caring and kind. We plan to attend this school thru eighth grade. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a Waldorf education.

We are so happy to have found BVWS. We believe strongly that play based schools are the best for early education and beyond, and this Waldorf school fits all of our child's needs. The property is beautiful, the teachers are gracious and engaged with my child. I would recommend to anyone who wants a high quality private school at a truly affordable price.

This is an amazing school located in an amazing place. From the collection of learning cottages to the vast working farm, there is no other school in the area like this! When I arrived, I saw bunnies darting to and fro while in the field, and the gardeners picking vegetables on the 38 acres of the working farm. I toured the school, and saw smiling children gathered around a wooden tables about to enjoy a healthy and homemade snack. The teacher smiled warmly at me as she shook my hand. As many parents before me have said, “I wish I had gone to a school like this when I was a kid!” After I toured the classrooms, each in various states of preparation for the upcoming year, I could see the caring the school puts towards the incoming students. The farm is a jewel of this school, and all students get to put their hands in the dirt and grow food, work with animals and connect with the earth in a very special way. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in an education that touches the head, heart and hands in parents and students alike!

I looked at several schools both public and private before enrolling my child at Shepherd Valley Waldorf School. My son loves going to school and I adore being part of the community. SVWS is a rare and precious place. The grounds are beautiful and the teachers are dedicated and truly care about each child. Go check this place out, my only regret is that I didn't find it sooner.

We love BVWS! Our daughter joined the school as a new student in 2nd grade this year and her teacher, Mrs. Easton couldn't be better! We love that Waldorf education honors the whole being of each child- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Mrs. Easton has been so attentive and supportive of each child in the class, honoring their individual development, and she places emphasis on social and emotional learning. The campus is beautiful, and has a garden, a labyrinth, lots of outdoor space and natural playground equipment.
