I took Rich's Real Estate Investments for Personal Financial Planning class at UCB Extension Program and Rich is filled with knowledge and information. He provides a vast amount of information and recommendations on books to read, but not necessary based on how much info he gives in lectures. I also asked for help outside of class for my personal situation and he's been great with resources and referrals for anything outside of his scope. I highly recommend partnering with Rich on not only Real Estate Investing, but overall financial planning based on his experience, knowledge, and his personable approach.

I found the Real Estate Investments for Financial Planners class, taught by Rich Arzaga, to be absolutely invaluable. The early sessions, which focused on property evaluations via the APOD and the later sessions, which included a deep dive into REITs, really helped expand my knowledge in these areas.

I found Rich Arzaga to be a great educator and a willing collaborator to help the students with their class assignments, real estate and financial planning questions. I am a huge fan of Rich's collaborative approach and wish there was a Part II to this class ...

The Real Estate class taught by Rich Arzaga was awesome.
I learned so much in 15 hours of instruction, and the main project on estimating cash flows / profitability of real estate investment was very educational and instructive.

Real Estate Investment at UC Berkeley is a very satisfying course I've ever completed. Course content is designed in systematic structure covering all aspects in real estate investment. Cash Flow Analysis is the highlight of this course. Though a little bit complex to work with, but it gives an outlook about a potential property, which lead to decision making. Instruction is given in two ways between instructor and student and real examples are useful. The course is delivered in comprehensive manner and recommended for everyone who would like to deepen financial planning foundation and real estate.
