I almost had a tour of this place, as I’m looking for care for my 2 year old. I decided to look them up on the Colorado Shines website, and I’m glad I did. They have a laundry list of complaints against them, the most recent ones investigated July of 2024. Just a FEW founded incidents were: children being yanked by their arms by staff, child slammed into a couch by staff, children made to run laps with their arms in the air as punishment, children denied food as punishment, frozen food served to children posing a choking hazard, staff unaware of how many children are in their room.
There’s no way in hell I would EVER leave my child in the care of a place with complaints like these. Don’t take my word for it, look up license number 1696284 under “program name” on the Colorado Shines website. It is infuriating that people trust these daycares with their children, pay $1000+ a month, for their children to be flat out abused and neglected. Hell no.

We've been so pleased with the love and care our little one has received at Children's Courtyard. We joined when he was 8 months old, after doing in-home care for a few months. We had loved our sitter, but she was moving on to other opportunities, and we decided we wanted our little guy to meet other kiddos his age.
We love being able to see him on the videos in the app, and know that we can message and call his classroom and teachers so easily. We also like that the room is kiddos his age so there's little fear of a kiddo much older bullying or accidentally hurting him.

We love his teachers and are very happy!

My toddler declined being at this facility. Some of his basic needs were not met (frequent potty accidents when he is already trained), staff was not very communicative, high turnover among caretakers in the classrooms, missing or replaced clothes/items, and their disciplinary approach is terrible. The place constantly reeks of dirty diapers and urine. ETC. After addressing my concerns with the higher ups, they informed me they would not do anything different and that they have difficulty doing 1-1 personal attention with each child. I immediately pulled my toddler out without second thought. I would not recommend seeking services from this company.

ETA- Miss Kathy is an exception, she is amazing! This place does not deserve her at all, she’s way too good for them.

I loved this daycare but had to move and find a daycare closer to where I'm currently at. Although myself and my children still wish we were going here. My daughter absolutely loved Miss Kathy's class and Miss Kathy was always very loving and kind to my daughter as well as all the teachers there. Thanks you all for your excellent service.

Thank you for everything you guys did for my kids. But the way you guys have treated my kids over the year is disgusting. The way Liz and natalyn duck tapped Dominic’s shoes to his feet. The way school age let other kids eat in front of my kid and tell him he couldn’t have any. The way charee acussed me of stealing DOMINICS jacket. The way I’ve seen children escape from the gate. The amount of times I seen kids trying to run into the parking lot. The amount of kids you guys have lost. I’m done. Were done. The only reason we have continued to come is because we love ms Kathy and Ms. Jen and Ms Kelly There’s so many times where I have freaked out over the way you guys treat my kids. It’s so ugly how comfortable you guys feel with treating peoples kids badly. The black eyes and busted lips on Dominic with no incident report, but Dominic gets 3 incident reports in a day. It’s ok tho, I know you guys been wanting to kick my kids out for a while now. Ms. Jen I thank you for being a great leader and I love you so much. I pray that you have a blessed time and enjoy the new baby.

We are so incredibly thankful to have found Children's Courtyard. Every single staff member has been welcoming to our family and our children. We get updates daily of how our kids are doing, pictures, and they both come home happy every day!

We’ve been taking our kids here for a few years and while we’ve had our concerns and voiced them everything was handled professionally. The reviews that I see of people not feeling welcome is odd as I get greeted by at least 2 people when I walk in each morning.

I can see what my kids eat each day, when they use the bathroom, what they are doing and even see a live stream of their rooms.

Parents BEWARE! my 6 year old was disenrolled from their school age program 2 business days after being informed of a special needs diagnosis. They did not work with us to set up anything to support him or their staff if he should struggle. THEN, they blamed us for his disenrollment. I am disappointed in each and every teacher at this facility.
