La Petite Academy has majorly impacted our child's social and emotional skills which has helped to foster our child's development.

The staff has always communicated with our family for major events and has never left us in the dark. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with them and look forward to continuing to do so.

The school regularly incorporates hands on learning and partners with outside organizations to engage the students. Our child looks forward to attending each day and always has something positive to discuss regarding each school day.

We highly recommend La Petite Academy to anyone who is looking for a center that values safety without compromising a high quality educational experience.

Couldn’t have asked for a better facility for my boys!

My youngest was 18mos when we enrolled him, and it was such a hard transition for him being away from me and my husband, but the staff made him feel so comfortable and loved.

Fast forward three years later, we’re still enrolled! The staff here have embraced my kids as their own, as they do all the kids, and they adore the heck out of them. The teachers are very involved and in tune with the kids needs and emotions on a day-to-day basis, and always engage with them. Summer camp is always a blast, and my oldest loves all the field trips planned each week. Designated homework time in the school age class during the academic year is SO helpful for working parents. Amanda and DeeDee in Administration are such wonderful, warm women.

We love our school!

I have a child that is starting Pre-k and has been here since he was 18m and a daughter he started with before and after school care. My son has gone through a lot of life changes as a COVID baby and a baby or divorce. The staff and teachers here have been great and give him all the extra emotional needs and cuddles that he needs. He loves the songs and activities and has made such great friends here.

I wanted so badly to like this childcare! Unfortunately my child’s SECOND day at this facility my child was sent home with an adult without being checked out or having an ID checked. They were asked 4 times to check the ID and then just said “she was busy” I guess enrolling new students is more important than keeping current ones safe! I called to disenroll and Amanda said my child was released because they recognized the baby the adult was holding. Great, now two children are with an adult who you have no idea of. This is unacceptable. I have worked in childcare, my kids have been enrolled in care at another place since 6 weeks old and there are ALWAYS ID checks no matter what. I am so disappointed. If you care about your child’s safety do not send them here. It’s not mom anxiety your feeling on the tour, it’s the bad vibes of this whole building!

La Petite Academy off Rio Vista Dr is awesome. I was a bit skeptical about enrolling my daughter in school to began with but just upon entering this school you feel welcomed and very comfortable. My child attends Ms. Jeanette Toddler class and she loves it. I have seem the growth in my child in so many ways since she began attending school in September 2014. Its just a great feeling knowing that my child looks forward to attending school everyday. She walks in the front door just as happy as she can be. The staff overall is great.

The district manager has a sense of entitlement and thinks what she has to say is more important and will overtalk you regardless. She demands respect.

Respect is earned.
We all came into this world the same and we leave the same. At the end of the day you Alexandra are no different than anyone else outside of your little title. I am glad my kids are no longer enrolled at a center based off the 20 minute conversation we had. I am even more grateful my husband found employment elsewhere.

The director of this facility text my husband Tuesday 7/26 after he no longer worked there and asked if we could keep the kids home because they were short staffed. Your staffing issues aren’t our problem as paying customers. There is no integrity here. I even told the district manager on the phone today about Heidi’s inappropriate request. And this isn’t the first time we’ve been asked to keep the kids home because of their staffing problems. As a director FIGURE it out….. that’s your job.

The only thing I’m grateful for is the opportunity for employment for my husband during this in between time until he found something in his career field. And that was only after being asked on a weekly basis to please apply.

Deuces!

I have nothing but great things to say about La Petite. My son came from a school where he wasn’t truly progressing, because there wasn’t much of a curriculum. After going to La Petite, my son has made leaps and bounds. He is so knowledgeable, above his age level in many aspects, and he has learned to use his words when upset all because of the guidance and help of his teachers. I know without a doubt that my son will be kindergarten ready all thanks to the hard work and extensive curriculum that La Petite has. The director, Heidi, is always a joy to speak with, and she always addresses any questions I have. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone for their kiddos in early childhood education!

My kids had been going to La Petite for 2 years, when they started there was an amazing director who seemed like truly cared about and loved the kids. The teachers all seemed very happy and caring about the students. About 6 months ago it seems like there was a silent takeover. Heidi and Tammi the current directors took over from Miss Tasha and I've had nothing but issues since. I legitimately believe that these new directors are in it strictly for the paycheck and do not care about the children.

#1 The new directors had NEVER introduced themselves to me once they took over. I had no idea Miss Tasha was gone until I hadn't seen her around for a few weeks.
#2 It seems like it's been nothing but a revolving door of teachers since the new directors have taken over. Thankfully there have been a few GREAT teachers that have stayed through it all, Miss Jennifer and Miss Angie have always been great with my kids and I know my kids will miss them. Beyond that, I would go in and there would be a new face and a new teacher it seems like every day--and of course no there were no announcements about these new teachers and no one ever introduced me to these people who were now in charge of my children.
#3 Dropping my children off if there weren't enough teachers so the director had to be in the room with them they would have their nose buried in paperwork and would not be interacting with the children. My daughter sometimes has a hard time letting go in the morning, usually Miss Angie will help get her integrated in an activity or the classroom so I can leave, if one of the directors is in the room instead of a teacher they will basically ignore her until I can get her distracted enough to leave.
#4 My 4 year old son has never had discipline or behavioral issues EVER. Since these new directors/teachers have taken over I have gotten multiple calls suddenly about his behavior. The first few times I assumed that it was that he was having a bad day. But it became more and more frequent. I would get a call and it was almost as if the directors were tattling on him. I would get a long list of all his transgressions and was even told: "I want you to speak with him so he knows there are consequences to his actions." It is completely inappropriate to pit me or my husband against our child and make it seem like it's a punishment for them to speak with me! The last time I got a call was the last straw and I removed my kids immediately after speaking with my son over the phone and hearing him literally SOBBING, I know my child and I know when he's legitimately being stubborn/throwing a tantrum and when he's been pushed past the limit, my son was not given the care he needed to be given. When he is having a bad day at home or with literally anyone else all it takes is us talking to him to calm him down. (And again, I have never heard reports about his behavior from any of the other teachers/previous administration until the new directors took over.) After picking my son up from school that day I spoke with him about what happened and he told me the directors refused to give him his blanket. Which would have calmed him down immediately, what is the point of keeping a blanket from a 4 year old?

Bottom line is this new administration does not care about the children in the center. Countless times I have brought them in to drop them off and my kids, who are extremely talkative would stop to say hello or goodbye to either of the directors that were there. The impression they would give is that they are inconvenienced by my children. Unless there is a huge overhaul in the administration in that building I would never bring my children back.
