I have never felt more supported in my education, which is saying a lot, considering how well designed the expeditionary learning school was that I graduated from. If you're considering Outdoor Recreation Leadership, CMC Leadville is worth your time. I can't speak to the other, more academic programs, since I moved to CMC Steamboat to finish my bachelor's, but the field-based programs in Leadville are top-notch.

I really enjoyed my time at CMC Timberline Campus, the classes are small so your not just a number and its easy to get to know your classmates and teachers. I got a bachelors degree here and happy I did it! The disc golf course is one of the best courses in Colorado, and I have been playing there for over 20 years now.

Timberline is a great campus with its backyard terrain park and 18-hole frisbee golf course. The staff here are all very friendly and with small class sizes you really get to know your teachers. I loved going to school here and would do it all over again.

I lived off campus during my time at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville so I can't speak to the dorm life or food amenities. As for the classroom size and educational opportunity provided, CMC Leadville is a great choice. The cost of tuition is extremely low and the one on one interaction with teachers gives you an opportunity to ask questions about subject matter you might not understand. There is also a free tutoring center staffed with many highly educated and qualified people from various professional and educational backgrounds. The college is also located close to river rafting in the summer and skiing in the winter. CMC Leadville is a great choice to start off your time in college.

Incredible faculty and staff. Everyone is ready to help me succeed. CMC has helped me become not only a successful student, but an active and participating member of the Leadville community. Not something I ever could have imagined at a big university in a big city!

(Just don't live in the dorms, the food was so gross I had giardia for a month and didn't realize I was sick because everyone who ate the dorm food was feeling similarly.)

Save your time and money & take online classes at a real college. Administration at this school is a joke. Like every corporation in this state all they care about is money. They have gotten rid of a lot of curriculum 90% of the students need, leaving their only option to be online or in a campus 1 hour away. Instead of funding teachers and classes, they are dismissing much needed courses so they can build a brand new school in Salida. Not a proud student of cmc.

Went back around 1998 was awesome. The vibe, the surrounding town, the little downtown, the dorm life. Everything was awesome but I was too stupid to really take advantage of it

Horrible school. Advisers are too lazy to do their job and help with problems you're having. Financial office messes up you're scholarships. I had $4000 worth of scholarships and still ended up paying out of my pocket. Debating whether I should just drop the classes and wait till I transfer to a GOOD school.
