What a great place! The building alone adds character (it used to be a church) and they had pretty interesting exhibits. I definitely want to go back again.

Foothills Art Center was the perfect destination venue to host our 60 guest wedding on July 5, 2019. The exhibit on display and the flow of the entire reservation was perfect. We had our ceremony on their beautiful lawn, the cocktail hour was in the sculpture garden out front and we hosted the reception in the main hall indoors. The acoustics were excellent, and the venue is well air conditioned. Maura worked closely with each of our vendors to make sure they would fit with the venue comfortably. My now husband and I had one of our first dates at this gallery, and I’m so grateful will be able to go back and celebrate our wedding every time we visit! Love you Foothills Art Gallery!

New location for Foothills Art Center at the old Astor House. There is a new addition to the back of the old house. Elevator and stairs to the upper gallery. Beautiful new addition. Exposed brick and window casings to reveal the old construction of the Astor House. (History boards tell the story) So glad they preserved the old house.

Previously a history museum but closed for a number of years due to structural problems, the refurbished and expanded Astor House reopened on May 24th, 2024 as the new Foothills Art Center Galleries. Previously in the old Presbyterian Church, now the Foothills Art Center Creative Campus, future Art Center expositions and art shows will now be in the Astor House/FAC Galleries.

A beautiful old church that's now a gallery space. At this time of year it's really a holiday giftshop, but very nice, artistic items. I will definitely go back to see an actual art exhibition at some point in the future. Golden itself is a sweet little walkable town, with a variety of interesting shops and eateries. I highly recommend the restaurant in the Table Mountain Inn hotel!

This is a cute, eclectic place with art displays. I've enjoyed it for decades. It is quite small but they feature local artists and offerings, which is really nice. Parking can be a bit tricky but it's usually worth a look inside to see what they have on display.

We enjoyed a visit today to the Foothills arts center in Golden Colorado. It's in an amazing old gothic church with original doors, woodwork, flooring and stained glass windows. That almost alone makes it worth the visit. But they have very well-designed art exhibits, we really enjoyed the exhibit of mosaics done by multiple artists, just beautiful! Highly recommend stopping by and spending 45 minutes to an hour looking at this artwork. Pieces are also for sale in many cases.
