I entered this university when it was SCU. I was still a student when they changed the name to Regions, and also when it changed again to Amridge. They changed names because of lawsuits and fear of lawsuits. I was going to South Korea, and the recruiter promised that I would be the same as on campus students, and that the program was flexible. I was also told I could finish the program while in South Korea. This was a total lie. Now all the regulation for the Counseling program are listed, but back in the nineteen nineties there was no accurate information. The program was ambiguous. Luckily I got in contact with a woman who sued them. She was as frustrated as I was. She was fed up with their lies.

Furthermore, the bookstore suddenly would not ship books overseas, so I had to get them from different sources. This broke the promise of me being just like students on campus.This was time consuming. Yet, I was still under the same time frame as those students on campus. The rules are rigid, and the people in control heartless. I had one class that had a visiting professor forget to save my semester work. I ended up getting an F in the class. While this was happening my advisor did nothing. Not one email, not one helping hand. This university has the most unchristian way of dealing with students. I also see that they have had so many students who were unable to finish like me. I am in the process of contacting all those who were hurt by them, and deceived. They owe a lot of people JUSTICE. Finally, It is a very low ranking university, one of the lowest in Alabama, and in the U.S. Google their rankings, it is pitiful. AVOID

I LOVE Amridge! I took classes to learn more about my faith but it has been a lesson in life for me. Not sure why others have posted negative comments. Makes wonder if they did not clarify what they were committing to. The professors take time to MAKE you succeed if that is your initial intention. Wish I could continue as a doctorate student. There is no mistake choosing Amridge University!

Amridge University has been a nightmare to deal with. They lied right off the bat with stating that Biblical languages were not required for this specific degree. After signing up they never established a link with Canvas until the second day of the starting semester. upon watching the first part of the very first lecture, I realized that they had misrepresented themselves and asked to be removed from their roster. They have since sent a bill totaling just under $4,000. for a class that was never started. Ask yourself is this Christian activity, it appears like their god is mammon. The class did not actually start until the second of the month, I did not have access until the second day of the class. Save yourself a lot of hassle and look elsewhere for a true Christian experience and education.

Update, Amridge University did finally do what was right after I submitted a form for review and retract the fees for that semester, for which I am greatful.

Have really loved my time at Amridge. To be fair, haven’t started paying back the student loans yet, so I might be mad at them later. I’m not gonna say they are perfect, but as someone who has went to 5 different colleges/universities I will say that Amridge has the best professors and instructors of any of them hands down.

This school was a nightmare to deal with. Was advised did not need Hebrew to start off and right out of the gate they expected you to know Hebrew. Dropped my first class within the first hour, and now an being charged over $1300! They said there was a 10% fee, why am I being charged over a third for the class? When I called to ask, financial aid kept cutting me off to tell me the guidelines. I asked her to please listen to my question, she was rude and not willing to actually talk with me. I refuse to sit back and pay over $1300 for an hour being in the class! Erika just kept telling me to file an appeal, the rules are the rules.
