I am very thankful yo the entire team here especially Ms. Meeta for helping my son excel. He used to be behind school level when we first enrolled him a year and a half ago. The team here was dedicated and helped explain the concepts his school teacher is unable to. With constant practice and their guidance at Kumon Jersey City Downtown, he is now able to not only understand what is covered in his class and do his homework by himself but is studying above his grade level in Kumon and getting exposure to what is ahead of his school curriculum. Our daughter has been attending Kumon Jersey City for over a year, and the progress she’s made is truly impressive. My daughter studied at Kumon for almost 2 years when we arrived to the United States. She was struggling in reading comprehension and writing. In less than 2 years she’s completely fluent in English, with no need of any special service of ESL at her school, and even above average now than the rest of her classmates. She also took the math program because she wanted, and now she’s almost one year advance that her level at school. It was a great place for her to acquire discipline and thrive in her reading and math skills. We are very grateful!

We just love this center!

My daughter enrolled in this center just when she turned 5, after we have not been happy with her progress in one renowned Montessori school in Jersey City. We didn't think she learned much in Math and reading/writing in her school, even though it is a great school.

Within few months in Kumon she did amazingly well. Everyone noticed her progress. She achieved top 5% in Kumon US in reading and Math, and easily the best in her class. All other parents of the kids in her class were amazed how she reads at age 5.

She turned 6 three weeks ago but her Math, reading and writing and equivalent to the 2nd grade kids.

Meta, the director of this center is just amazing and doing fantastic job. Everything functions perfect under her management.

My children have attended Kumon for several years now and this has immensely helped their Math and Reading skills over the years. Most recently, the center also helped with my older child’s PSAT preparation and her excellent score on the test is no doubt attributed to their guidance and tailored approach for my child’s strengths and weaknesses. Meeta and Nitin, together with their respective staff teachers, are excellent at identifying the child’s areas in need of progress and providing guidance and practice tips to help develop the appropriate skill set. We look forward to their continued guidance for years to come.

This is the worst place for kids.

1. My son has ADD. Kids with ADD are normal kids but they need to feel comfortable and sometimes more attention. My son attend regular school and regular classes. I explained all situation to lady in the reception and asked to seat next to my son during a test first day only. After that he would feel more comfortable and can take classes alone. But she was not respectful to me and said that follow Kumon policy my son could not attend class because he has ADD.

2. This place so crowded. No rooms for waiting kids. Not enough places for kids.

3. There are no options to give zero stars.

My daughter had a very nice experience in Kumon (Jersey City). She took math classes for almost 2 years. More than the learning itself, Kumon helped her to develop much more concentration and focus in her daily school routine and also in her personal life. I really recommend it.
