I have worked with Tamra Hughes for the past several years as she provided EMDR consultation toward my Approved EMDR Consultant status. I appreciate Tamra's focus on the structure of EMDR therapy as an evidence based model and like the EMDR Basic Training format she teaches from Dr. Andrew Leeds, which incorporates consultation as part of the training. Tamra is an experienced, highly respected trainer and practitioner and EMDR Center of the Rockies is a great place to receive EMDR treatment as well as EMDR training and consultation.

I had an excellent experience in the EMDR Basic Training. Tamra has worked with giants in the field of EMDR and has a wealth of knowledge. We were pushed to practice the skills during and between sessions, which was helpful and essential for my learning. I had experience with other EMDR clinicians who were still using pretty outdated methods. We were taught the most recent, scientifically based information.

I now have a thriving practice where about half of my clients are seeking out EMDR, and I get direct referrals from providers when they meet clients wanting EMDR. I've been amazed at and excited about the outcomes with clients. I'm working on my EMDR certification with Tamra and hope to go on to the consultant level.
