My sister booked a guided tour of the Ouray Via Ferrata with this company, and it was excellent! Our guide, Marcus, went above and beyond to ensure our tour and our time in Ouray was awesome. He checked in with us the day before, gave us recommendations on campsites in the area, and was friendly and easy to talk to. I am not a climber, and I struggled on some parts of the Via Ferrata downstream route, but Marcus was a very encouraging and patient coach, and I never felt unsafe on the course. He also took great pictures along the route and shared them with us immediately afterwards.

Their office in Ouray is centrally located, easy to find, and close to some great restaurants! It has such a great vibe and their communications (via email and phone) were prompt and professional. I would 100% book with this company again. The experience was awesome!!!

I recently did two trips with Mountain Trip, and both were incredible experiences. The first was during the Ouray Ice Festival, where I did an intro to ice climbing clinic. It was such an awesome way to get into the sport—challenging, exciting, and absolutely addicting. The guides were amazing and made it so much fun while keeping everything safe and approachable. I’m already planning my next ice climbing trip.

The second was a guided backcountry ski day in the San Juans. I was nervous going into it since it was a new area to me. But Marcus, our guide, was beyond incredible. He wasn’t just guiding; he took the time to really teach us about conditions, basics of reading terrain, and how to start to plan safe routes. His patience and knowledge made such a difference, and I came away with such a better understanding of backcountry skiing and conditions.

I can’t recommend Mountain Trip enough for anyone looking to learn, try new things or grow their skills.

Climbed Mt. Sneffles with Chad Peele. Greatest guide of all time. Set a perfect pace and made the tricky spots safe and easy. Of course, he is a global pro, ask him about Everest. I highly recommend Chad and Mountain Trip. Thanks for a great experience
