Great little free museum to learn a some interesting history and physics. The man working inside was super helpful and showed us around the place. Highly recommend making a stop if you’re in Georgetown! Google says temporarily closed, but the museum was open.

I was able to get here during the week, so there was not an issue with parking or a crazy amount of people. I was able to get a one on one tour of the still working power plant. There is plenty of literature with the pictures and pieces of the museum.

Though Google says it's closed, we drove up and it was open. This place is really cool and talks about the history of power generation in the area. The guide was very helpful and informative. Unfortunately, the power generation has been stopped as of 4 months ago, but the site is still open as a museum.

A power plant that has been there for forever. A good mix of history, engineering, and antiques. The tour was about an hour or so, including a lot of questions we were asking. My favorite part were the very old tools and equipment that we didn't have time to go over in the tour official tour, but what the guide was happy to talk about when we asked him.

Visit a historic, functioning, hydroelectric power generating plant in Georgetown. Just up the Main street, easily accessible. Pleasant museum guide answers questions and seems interested in explaining how the wheels turn to produce alternating current. See and hear the giant wheels spinning! See the old equipment and tour the small facility. It's free, but donations are recommended.

This is a great little museum to visit for a quick tour. We had a very enthusiastic gentleman show us around and it's a nice little spot to see historic objects and photographs. It's just at the end of downtown, so easily accessible. Free admission and donations are appreciated.

A good experience with lots of electronics, and history. At the beginning you can learn how electro magnets and Jacobs ladder works, then you move down to an outside area where you can watch the waterfall. The third area is inside with lots of electronics and descriptions, then the final area is where you can watch the generators and there are some more writings about the history of them.
