I have been contracting with Home Tutoring Plus since 2012. I enjoy it and have never had any issues. This is a sideline activity for me. Originally I started to help pay for my son's medical expenses (he is disabled), but I continue on because I believe in the company and what they do.
I am and have been a college instructor (I have taught in the CSU system since 1994 as well as at the community college level since the same year). I also regularly review textbooks, contribute to pedagogical development, and have authored a couple of teaching supplements for major text publishers. In addition, I am a room facilitator and chief reader for state teaching exams. Previously I was a senior tax advisor, disability specialist, and teacher for a national tax firm for several years. In addition I have tutored independently under my own company name. Deborah, Janice, and the rest of the staff are very professional. I appreciate they handling the "back side" of the job so I do not have to keep accounting of it.
I have never had any issues with HTP plus. We agreed on the rules upfront and I do not generate a conflict of interest. HTP clients are informed I am a college instructor and I have a limited availability due to that and caring for my son, but other than that the subject is not discussed. If asked I do inform them of the subjects I teach, but my HTP clients are not aware of my other tutoring venues, it would be unethical.
