This school is a religious non-profit private school. It provides a holistic approach integrating both spiritual and academic education. The students learn core subjects such as Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts. In addition, they have subjects such as art and physical education. For the spiritual component, students take subjects such as Quran, Islamic Studies and Arabic language. There are also a variety of after school extra curricular activities that students can join such as calligraphy club, art club, yoga club, gardening club, and student council.

Character education is emphasized and the school community works hard to ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere for the students.

The school is growing each year over the last few years and student enrollment has been increasing. The school is looking forward to expanding its facilities in the upcoming years.

One of the key advantages of attending this Islamic school is the strong sense of Muslim identity and values which are encouraged and developed over time.

I highly suggest that prospective parents and students come visit the school, take a tour, and see the school for themselves.

Actually this is school did and still doing great job. But I am so upset because they decided to stop the high school this year. It is too late right now. Where we are supposed to take our kids to. Our kids have never gone to public schools how come we should throw them at this critical age in a public school. I hope they go back in there decision and open it again.
I suggest to open a new school and we can find the funds by working together.
Please look for the Muslim Kids future as you used to be.

If you value your child's self-worth, education, and Islam, do not put them in this school. They have a few great teachers, but some are bullies and have no manners so there's no way they can teach the students proper behavior. Worse, this behavior goes unchecked by the administration most of the time. Some teachers are very professional and experienced and it shows. Others base grades on how they're feeling at any given moment. Some teachers sit around and talk/gossip when they should be watching students. As a result, if something happens at school and/or your child is hurt, do not expect them to be able to tell you exactly what happened. You'll be lucky if you see an incident report. Many of the kids, may Allah guide them, are vicious. They are bullies, violent, vulgar, prejudice,etc. The ones that aren't will not enjoy this environment at all. Some students are made to follow the rules or they are called into the office and others are allowed to get away with the same behavior. This is called an Islamic school, but there is very little Islam here. Last, but not least, the administration is incompetent. Rather than address the issues that are clearly going on, they like to ignore them or sweep them under the rug. Or, my personal favorite, try to make children responsible for the things the adults should know better about and handle. They only really want to hear from parents when it furthers their agenda. At all other times, parents are seen as bothersome and only around to cause trouble or be used as free labor. As a muslim, I would like to be able to support this school and say only positive things about it , but I would be lying. I don't expect them to change things, I don't feel they're capable. As such, my kids will not attend next year. I hope, for the sake of the children that have no other option that the issues preventing this school from retaining students and really being a viable option for muslim students, are addressed and resolved.

It has been a blessing being part of Al-Furqan Academy, especially the VPK program. Almost about a year ago, we were researching VPK programs and evaluating options. With the help and guidance of Allah, as parents, we wanted to ensure the best environment for our child as it relates to deen and dunya. We are immensely grateful to the Almighty for facilitating the path to AFA’s VPK program. The development we have witnessed in our child over the course of these few months has been truly phenomenal. We have seen amazing growth across various facets of academic and personal elements of life. Ms. Mu’mina and Ms. Malika are beyond exceptional!!! They consistently go above and beyond in genuinely caring for the betterment of every student. We believe the atmosphere they have created and sustained, naturally empowers these little kids, such as our own child to never miss a single day of school. We wish them tremendous and continued success!!

Alhamdulillah I have graduated high school from this very school! I thank Allah first and foremost and then myself and my school. I had the pleasure of attending Alfurqan academy for 5 years or since my 8th grade; even though it wasnt perfect or ideal (education wise and being in the real world). There were many sad and unforgettable moments where I was disrespected,taken advantaged of, bullied, had to deal with adults insult me and my character ,or have certain adults in charge display things that I confided into them or personal information to others. These moments and people with their unforgettable actions have contributed to me building myself up and being successful. However there was lots of good and benefits to me attending this school. The people there really make an impact and because of that and many other things I often over looked the not so great things (my education and being prepared for when I step out further into the world outside of A.F.A gates).The high school teachers deserve nothing but the best they go beyond their limits even though they may be a bit limited! I hope that one day more investments are made and put into this school so that it can rapidly and fully flourish to the great school it should/ can be! A lot of help is needed towards AFA so if you can help then help. In spite of everything I know that inshallah when my time comes and I can help I will invest my all into this school:My second home!

Assalamualikum, Alhamdullilah my 2 kids goes this school. The strongest argument in favor of sending of my kids to Alfurqan is the presence of an Islamic environment. Muslim kids in this school pray, interact with other Muslim children in classes and during breaks. They also generally have less exposure to sex, drugs, alcohol and violence. A Muslim school is the only place where our kids will ever have the chance to develop an identity that says, "Hey, these are my people. I belong to an identifiable community,"In addition, this school is a place to build identity and security. A sense of identity comes not just from being with other Muslim kids but also with the memories of praying, hearing the Adhan and discussing Islamic issues. This school give students a sense of self-worth, pride and cultural identity they could never get in a public school. Alhamdullilah good dedicated teachers and staff. Alhamdullilah good academic standards. Starting to incorporate Islamic teachings into practical hands on activities that students can implement in their lives. . Lots of improvement in character development.

The new principal is doing his job!!! The new building will IA start construction after Ramadan 2015 and it will be working for 2016-2017 school year.The enviroment is clean of contamination the kids may get in public schools. This is a good option if you want islamic education. May Allah guide you to the right path.
