The Mt. Lassen Art Center is a great place for families. My family (mom, sister, and me) has stopped many times on my way to the amazing Mt. Lassen National Park. The benefactor, and I mean benefactor, has provided us with such amazing hospitality and generosity every time. Its a stop you have to put on your map if you love nature, have a family, or just want to meet a knowledgable and hospitable local with a big smile.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I have taken my 2 year old daughter here a few times and she loves it. If you are looking for something fun and artistic to do with your kids I highly recommend this place. Howard is great with kids. It is definitely worth a trip up here to check it out. There is also a great little creek down behind the property that is fun to visit after painting.

The Mt. Lassen Art Center is a gift to the community, you can learn the magic of color and paint for free! Luke is a wonderful teacher and generous to share what he knows. If you want a place to reconnect with your self, family, and or nature this is the place. Thanks so much Luke!

We drove past the "free watercolor" sign on the way to Lassen. Decided to stop in during our trip. Our 6 and 9 year old girls loved it. It's small but pretty and family friendly (dogs too)
