As a student at JSU, I can firmly say that this school is incredible. The learning environment is wonderful. The staff is friendly. The students have tons of opportunities excel both academically and through extra curricular / social events. If you’re deciding whether or not this is the school for you, make the right choice and come to JSU.

Not Military Friendly

School is not geared towards military. Faculty are inexperienced dealing with us. "Military Counselors" seem like they are just regular faculty who were tasked to deal with us. Their online classes do not work with our government computers so you can't do school work during work breaks.

Hidden fees - online classes come with hidden fees in order to take those classes, online books are given "free" because they already charge you unless you stop them ahead of time. JSU phone apps do not really offer anything, even the GEM portion stopped working. Emails are largely spam about offering fake jobs or things happening only on campus. Again, nothing really online.

I liked my academic counselor and the class I took but this is not enough to make this college suitable for active duty military.

Campus is pretty and staff is amazing. Daughter will be attending in the fall and I believe JSU will be a great school for her

We went t our grandson's high school graduation. Thanks to JSU for allowing them to graduate in the beautiful stadium this morning!

This place needs to do something about seating. Each game needs a color of arm band so when there game is over they need to move and let the next game ticket holders have a seat. Also what is the capacity for the building per the fire marshal?

There's little parking by freshman and sophomore dorms. Instead of waiting for parking to be constructed, they decided to remove a whole lot for a new hall. They have too many staff parking spots and half of them sit empty.
