I did not know what to expect when I enrolled my son, who has NO previous Spanish or language experience, in Mi Casita summer camp. I was so happy with how inclusive and accepting the teacher and program was of all the kids at any level of knowledge. It was a perfect introduction for my 7-year-old into language, and he felt instantly at ease and open to learning due to the happy laid-back style of the program. Thank you, Sara! Search no further if you are seeking a fun, relaxed, friendly, non-judgmental approach to learning Spanish. Each one hour class is dedicated to a paragraph or conversational question you have written at home, new vocabulary, and various new verb conjugations in which Sara provides gentle correction/feedback. Class size is no larger than six, and as a result the environment is comfortable and friendly. Our virtual classes the last few months have been very successful. I have been participating in her class for over 1 1/2 years as I prepare for full time retirement in Mexico, and cannot think of a better way have been introduced to the language.

So if you're willing to commit to the classes and do work on your own, your Spanish will improve. Sara does a great job of presenting important concepts and providing information to allow students to practice these concepts. What I find most valuable is the conversations we have in class followed by vocabulary review (new vocab that comes up during conversations).

Note that Sara is very flexible with providing makeup class options when you are unable to attend a scheduled class. I'll be continuing to take classes for the foreseeable future 🙂
