I have only been here for 3 months but this is a school that I know I fit into. From the moment that had my interview and took a tour of the school there was a feeling that this was just the right place. I was not proved wrong. The Grauer School has such an incredible vibe to it. Everybody is so welcoming and warm. The close community brings teachers and students together and everyone becomes each-others supports system. The fact that your teachers know who you are and really care about your education makes the school such an incredible place. I appreciate all that Grauer has to offer and I consider myself so fortunate to have the chance to attend a place like this.

The following review was a required assignment by the staff of the school. The text does not reflect the personal opinions of myself about the school.
Having attended The Grauer School from 6th grade to my junior year in high-school, I am extremely happy with my experience so far. From my first days at the school to the day I'm writing this, the school has continued to improve beyond my expectations. The teachers truly love their jobs, and no matter what problems I encountered, they were always there to help. When it comes to applying to college, thanks to Grauer I had visited over 15 college campuses around the U.S. by my Sophomore year, and that number has continued to climb to over 25. Thanks to Grauer, I feel truly prepared for college life. I wouldn't have been able to succeed like this without the teacher's help!

I have attended The Grauer School for 7 years and have come to recognize the school as a learning environment that reaches beyond the classroom. The Grauer motto of "learn by discovery" is not just a saying, it is the means by which the school educates its students. In 7 years, I have traveled to world conferences in Australia, written and performed music in Idyllwild, and attended poetry slams in Manhattan. All of these were accomplished under the premise that a student learns more through experience than lectures or tests. But Grauer does not fall short on academics. We pride ourselves, and I take comfort in knowing, that our students are sought after by colleges. In fact the graduating class of 18 that preceded mine, received a whopping $4.8 million in merit-based scholarships to their choice colleges. I know that this school is one that has, and continues to, prepare me for college.

I have been at the Grauer school since 7 grade. I am now a senior at the school and I love it! I love the family environment and the small class sizes it brings. I have some Math classes with only 3-4 students making for a more one-on-one experience with teachers. I feel very much apart of the school family and I believe students truly thrive in this environment.

Can't love this place enough... the quality of the teaching is second to none and the faculty are incredibly dedicated to their students. There's no such thing as a student falling through the cracks or teaching to the test. Students learn valuable life skills on field trips and twice-yearly weeklong Expeditions alongside academic rigor that avoids busy work at all costs. "Learn by Discovery" is a motto to live and teach by at Grauer, not just words on a logo. With almost as many different classes as there are students and a dedication to a slim student:teacher ratio that creates amazing relationships with classmates and teachers alike, you get way more than an academic education at Grauer--you get a life-changing experience.

I am blessed to be a connected to Grauer. My son is enrolled for his third year and thriving. He engages with staff who know who he is. He plays intermural soccer at lunch, eats outside in a CA scrub brush environment, plays all kinds of musical instruments and surfs for PE. He takes honors classes where he gets to learn a topic in some deeper fashion not AP classes where you learn to pass a test. His classes are 7-14 students, and he knows them all. They study together, play together and grow together. The campus is amazing with high tech, new buildings and wide open spaces. He has learned compassion, self advocacy, Spanish, independence, Math, tolerance, Literature, self reliance, organization, the value of a smile, Social Studies, sportsmanship, how to make and support good friends, Arts, Science and discipline. Surrounded by caring staff, quality peers and a real community, Grauer is a great home for my son and my family.

The Grauer School is absolutely amazing. The individualized and relationship-driven education places the students in more of a collegiate environment than a college-preparatory environment. Students are treated as adults and are placed in charge of their educations, rather than having them dictated to them.
