I'm thrilled to share our positive experience with Scholars in Barrhaven! After trying several after-school programs that didn't quite click with my boys, Scholars has been a game-changer. Not only do my kids eagerly look forward to attending, but I've also seen noticeable improvements in their reading and math skills. The teaching staff is exceptional—professional, well-trained, and they make learning fun, which resonates so well with the children. Additionally, the owner's kindness and understanding, especially regarding some payment hiccups on my end, was genuinely appreciated. He waived late fees and reached out personally to resolve the issues, which speaks volumes about their customer care. Highly recommend Scholars for anyone looking for an engaging and effective educational experience for their children!

We started at scholars in summer if 2023 looking to improve our sons literacy going into grade 5. Now 9 months later, our son has improved his subject grades as well as his learning competencies, to at least a half grade higher.

His teachers have noticed a huge improvement in his work ethic and engagement in his classes.

All the educators he has worked with are encouraging and helpful during the sessions. While you do need a schedule, they have always been accommodating to any changes we need due to life.

I would highly recommend this program to anyone.

This has been a great institution which helped my son with his reading. He was behind in reading at school, I tried to help at home but I'm definitely not meant to be a teacher. Within the first month of my son's enrollment at Scholars, he improved immediately. His teacher even called me to let me know how much better he was doing and continues to do.
Not to mention, my sone loves going to the tutor, there's no fighting or attitude, he simply enjoys going.
This has been such a great experience that we will be enrolling my youngest during the summer to have him be better prepared for school in September. Highly recommended.

"I'm extremely disappointed with Scholar of Barrhaven. When I enrolled my daughter in their French class, the owner guaranteed her proficiency in French. However, after paying $55 per hour for two months, she can't even read numbers 1-10 in French. I requested a session to observe her progress, but they refused, citing it as against their policy. The materials they provided are based on their own curriculum, which seems unrelated to real-life French language skills. All they did was have her draw on a piece of paper every day, and I'm shocked they take breaks during a one-hour session. I strongly advise families to be cautious and not waste their time and money. Regularly follow up with your children's progress to ensure they're receiving quality education. I plan to file a complaint against this academy to the relevant authorities and take necessary actions. Be aware of their deceptive business practices, which prioritize profits over students' learning outcomes."

My daughter started going to Scholar’s Barrhaven about 2 months ago. She looks forward to her tutoring sessions and is already showing more confidence in her math skills. The administration is friendly, responsive to parent concerns, and obviously very invested in each student’s success. Very happy with things so far!

Great tutoring place! They helped me a lot with my course (Data Management) by ensuring that I actually understood the content by breaking down the questions I had. In addition to breaking down the questions, they also gave me some extra questions to work on and that ensured that I am able to breakdown the questions myself. The tutors are super nice and friendly and amazing at teaching. I really recommend Scholars of Barrhaven for tutoring services! 🙂
