PLEASE COMPLETELY DISREGARD THE POST BY KROSHUNTA REEVES!!!! I have reported this review as bullying because in reality all it is is unfounded slander; What she has claimed is not true, is vile, unfounded, and could not be further from the truth about this Academy who is ran by a highly educated Woman, Mrs. Dickens, above professional Mr. Terry, and highly dedicated and extremely compassionate Ms. Mercedes. I have been a parent who has had my child in Joyful Kids for a year and a half with the exception of a small break during summer when I faced medical issues that prevented me from working and to save money I choose to keep my child home as we are self pay and do not receive any type of childcare assistance. While we were away I was not sure if I would ever be able to put my son back in preschool; however, even with this knowledge, Mrs Dickens, Mr. Terry, and Ms. Mercedes sent my child an amazing birthday card with a gift certificate to Red Elephant to let my child know they missed him and cared for him. I can not say enough about how much this preschool has impacted my child in positive ways. Mr. Terry and Ms. Mercedes have gone above and beyond to work with us in times we had to pay late; depending on the month we have to pay over $500 which is more affordable than any other place I have seen. Everyday I get a full report about his mood, what he ate, drank, how he slept, and much more. Each day he comes home excited, happy, and full of energy. Our child also is prone to febrile seizures and they have done everything possible to ensure we feel safe leaving our child with them by training their staff on how to take care of him. What made my wife and I decide to choose this preschool is because when we walked in the relationship Mr. Terry and Ms. Mercedes have with their children is unlike any I have ever seen. I wish this preschool went to high school; because I would love to see the impact they can make on my child.

Joyful Kids Academy has one of the best teams of teachers and staff! Our child looooves his preschool and we appreciate all the love that Ms. Beatrix, Ms. Mercedes, Mr.Terry, and Mrs. Dickens put into their work of developing our son. I would recommend them to anyone and am excited for our youngest daughter to start there soon once she is of age.

They are Horrible at communicating and very unprofessional! When I called to get an understanding about my child's payment constantly asking for the director (as I was told she's otp) I asked was she still at the daycare and I could come back to let her explain my payment. Mr. Terry insisted he could help and continued trying to explain something he didn't write nor does he know anything about. Now im frustrated due to still not getting an understanding or talking to who I asked for. Then Mercedes "the director" gets on the phone yelling as if thats goin to change the situation. I spoke with her personally when my child 1st started explaining I didn't want late fees or my child's education to be based off money she assured me I wouldn't have a problem being that i get paid biweekly only for it to b 52 dollars in late fees that I knew NOTHING about. I had been paying the week of and 1 week in advance (SO I THOUGHT) only to find out the 10 late fee that i asked about n advance turned to 52 dollars. Mind you my balance is only 24 dollars a week. And I'm paying 50 dollars every 2 weeks for it to be applied to something else? So confusing and unprofessional!!! Then the director (Mercedes)hangs up in my face while I'm asking what I need to do such as unenroll speak to the owner etc. Instead of trying to defuse or make the situation better she gets rude cause im trying to get an explanation on something she assured me wouldn't b a problem I guess the code is to lie to fill slots here. Now I understand why its only 6 kids n the daycare!! Mine is DEFINITELY UNENROLLED!!!!! I pray my child encounters more polite, compassionate, and considerable people on her new journey!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to NO ONE and if ur child goes here find something better and good luck. They only feed the kids what the "owner buys" (per Mercedes)which is basically NOTHING and they never have an apple juice,orange juice, grape juice or anything for the kids. They claim they are on the dothan city schools system meal system but that's a lie. They have the school's menu posted on the wall but my child NEVER received any food item on the menu. My child's 1st time attending daycare or school and all around bad experience the only time she has come home with papers 4rm LEARNING is ONLY when Ms.B is there that's only 3 days out the week. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star SERIOUSLY unless they get better educated and professional people there!!!!

Best daycare I could have ever put my child in. They are so understanding and loving on my children. I have never been more at ease when it comes knowing my kids are well taken care of and loved after. They have an awesome curriculum and definitely keep parents in the know about their children. You automatically feel a feeling of care and love when you walk in this place. My child is always clean when I pick her up and always has work ready from her day to show me.
