The owner of the daycare hit my truck in a school parking lot and left the scene. When I called the daycare to let them know I called the police they said they would let the driver know. I called the police met them at daycare, they said the driver went back to school. Me and the officer went back to school. We find out he is the owner admits to hitting my vehicle and leaving. His excuse was he had to pick up another kid! Being on private property he was not issued a ticket and was let go. I’m sure the kids that were in the van will not be notified of the incident.

Before I go into detail about why I gave this daycare a 1 star, I just want to put it out there that I am a single father who works full time to take care of his children. My kids are my world and I give them the best of me so that they can live happy and healthy lives. I feel it’s my job as their father to protect and care for them, which is why I decided to rate and review Little Treasures in BHC, AZ.
I enrolled my daughter at this daycare last week and she started on the 12th of August. My daughter (2 years old) had never attended a daycare before, she has always been at home with her family. Recently, the dynamic of our home life had changed and I was left searching for sitters and daycares to place my child with so that I could continue to work. After researching all the care providers in the area I decided to check out Little Treasures. My daughter and I met with Danilla. She walked us through the registration process and informed me of what it is that they do with and for the children they care for on a daily basis. The prices are fair, the hours of operation fit our schedule and even though I was hesitant to leave her at ANY daycare at all I was open to trying and open to seeing positive results instead of the horror stories you hear about from other parents and children.
On her first day I expected there to be tears and confusion from separation anxiety. My little girl walked in, smiled and laughed in excitement seeing all the other kids and went straight to playing and interacting! We said our goodbyes and I was able to walk out of the daycare with pride for my daughter for being so brave. When I picked her up she had a couple of small scratches, no big deal, and the lady who returned her to me said she did very well. I was so happy and relieved and looked forward to taking her again.
The second day of daycare had arrived and things were not as smooth. My daughter cried and clung to me and didn’t want to let go. I heard her shrieking in a way I had never heard before. We parted and I left sad for my little girl but knew she would calm down and be back to her loving social baby self in no time. I called to check on her and they said she was doing great and taking a nap. When I picked her up she was in good spirits, but had a bite mark on her arm. I asked what happened and the lady said she wasn’t sure, I asked about an incident card and she said none had been submitted that day. Not a super serious injury, no blood, but her skin was broken. I checked in with Danilla the next morning and she said she would check with the ladies who were on staff and file a report. I was thankful and we started day 3.
Day 3 was the last day she attended Little Treasures. We parted much the same as the 2nd day which made me nervous again but had reassured myself that she would be ok once she was around the other kids and playing. I called at lunch and was told she was doing great but that she had an accident while outside playing and had split her lip. I asked what happened and how bad it was and was told not bad at all, a small cut. Supposedly she was pushing a toy truck and it had slipped out from under her and she fell face first into concrete. I asked if her teeth were at all damaged and was told that they were not. I was honestly mad, but understood that this could have happened anywhere at anytime even under my watch. They said she didn’t even cry, they gave her ice to numb her lip and reduce swelling, then ointment to clean up the cut and help the skin heal. When I went to pick her up i saw that her lip didn’t have a small cut, her top teeth had punctured her lip leaving the skin loose and exposed. When I pointed this out to the lady that gave me the incident report, the response that I was given was her rolling her eyes at me. After looking in my daughters mouth closer I found that her top right tooth was chipped. They didn’t even bother to call me when this happened. I want to write more but have reached character limit. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR KIDS HERE!

This is a poor excuse for a daycare. Facility is gross, the backyard where the kids play have way too many potential hazards, and they are not personable on any level whatsoever. My kids hated going here. They came home with injuries and were sick constantly. A terrible place for kids.
