This was the first time for my husband and I to go eat here. It was absolutely wonderful. The service was great. Our server, Mitzy, was wonderful and on top of everything! Now the food for the appetizer bacon wrapped quail was great main course we got the Lamb Chop and Chicken Fried Steak. The best by far food we have eaten in a while and wonderful flavors. For dessert prickly pear cheese cake that was great and so was the prickly pear margarita! We will absolutely have to go back for sure! If they had more stars, I would give them more. It sure does deserve it!

We went into The Angry Cactus today for Saturday Brunch not realizing that brunch is only served on Sunday. However, we had a great experience!! The atmosphere here was great!! We were kindly greeted at the door & promptly seated. We ordered Bloody Mary's & those were filled with a lot of fun garnishes. Being served complimentary bread & olive oil was a nice touch!! We had the Fork & Knife Burrito & West Texas Tacos for lunch. Both dishes were delicious. There were many children dining with their families - so I wouldn't hesitate to bring children. Overall, this was a great place to dine & I'll happily bring out of town family here when they come to visit!!

When in San Angelo, please dine at this hidden gem. You will not be disappointed!
Our server, McKenzie, was sharp, witty, and cute as a button with an amazing smile. She took care of us and was brutally honest with recommendations.
I had the "This Aint Your Grandmother's Meatloaf," and it was delicious along with the mashed potatoes and carrots. I purposely did not eat it all so I could take it home for another meal. It was so good. My coworkers all had salads...lame!
And for dessert, try the Molten Lava Cake! Scrumptious!

So run, don't walk... to the Angry Cactus!

Thanks, McKenzie!

Every one from the dishwasher whom I met while I was parking, to the manager who greeted me as I walked in was amazing. I ate at the bar and the bartender makes a mean old fashioned and was very polite and attentive. I had the 8 oz steak and it was great. The sauce especially stood out.

The food here is amazing. You pay for what you get. It isn't cheap and it isn't fast food. But, it isn't slow service, either. The service is timely and friendly. Our drink stayed filled. I will be back! If you come to San Angelo, be sure to visit the Angry Cactus. I live here and I highly recommend it.

Great atmosphere and great service. We ordered Salmon and chicken fried chicken. The salmon was slightly undercooked, but they quickly cooked another piece to replace the salmon. There was nothing wrong with the food or the service, but the plating seemed odd. The plates came out looking like we were in an Asian restaurant. Great overall experience.
