This is actually Joseph Goetz, father of a rising senior in HS. My son enrolled in a course and I was charged $300 on May 1st. My son withdrew on June 1st by submitting the withdrawal form. I have asked TTUK12 for a partial refund, and they have been unresponsive. I filed an "inquiry" and no human being had the decency to contact me. I called twice to inquire, and each time the person helping me had no clue about getting a partial refund.
I am glad my son is not taking the course...he can do it in the 12 th grade in the Fall, and take the AP exam that goes with the course....which he could not do through TTUK12.
My advice is to disenroll asap once you enroll but then change your mind.

Would not recommend this school for online high school diploma program. My daughter and I have been fighting with their admissions department since May of 2024 and here it is
August 20,2024 and were told that they are not excepting anymore students til December 2024 . and that is for their aid program

My son had 4 year of High School at this school and I can attest that this school thoroughly prepared him for college and imparted strong education in all subjects. All teachers are certified and are very helpful and encouraging. The counselors and rest of the staff at school is very professional and tries to do their best to support students in a timely manner. Their course work is good and with the addition of many AP courses they have raised the bar for students who want to reach higher. All in all we had a great experience. If you are looking for an online school or supplement your education with an online course, this is one of the best places to use in Texas.

My child has always done very well in school and wanted to do school online, so she started this program. She did one semester here. The school took a up to 6 weeks to get some of her books to her, all books are digital. Teachers do not actually teach, the kids are given a list of things to read and assignments to complete. If kids ask a question or need help from the teacher it could be anywhere from hours to weeks before a response is given. And after all of that the school then complained that she was behind on her work. She still finished everything and passed all of her classes, but I then enrolled her in Stride K12 schools, which is a program that I highly recommend, it really is like night and day.

I took computer science I and II through TTU K-12 in order to get into more advanced classes at my local school and I really liked my experience through the courses. The sign up process for courses was really easy as it just required some basic information about myself and the school I attend then I was ready to take the course. The content of the course was presented through reading material that contained useful information for the assignments. The assignments were really helpful with activities being to apply the knowledge learned from the lessons while quizzes are there to make sure that you fully understand the lessons. Even though I rarely needed help in the course due to my previous knowledge in computer science, the instructor (Ms. Butler), was always there for clarification or assistance in something that I had trouble with and also was very quick in terms of grading assignments. Overall, I can confidently say that my time at TTU K-12 was great and that I walked away with knowledge that will help me with the rest of high school and beyond!

TTU K-12 has been such a positive experience for our son. He asked to move to homeschooling after his first year of traditional public high school. Shelley has been fantastic with helping us get him enrolled and navigating any issues that have come up. My favorite thing about TTU K-12 is that it gives kids a homeschool education but is a Texas public school. I know the classes he is taking are the classes he needs for graduating. This has been very helpful as a mom who is not experienced with homeschooling and is coming into homeschooling way late in the game.

Texas Tech University was perfect for what we were looking for. I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews. As for online learning, the curriculum is the same as they would learn in a Texas Public School. However, it gives us the freedom to do school on our schedule and it leaves plenty of time for me as the mom/ learning coach to add in learning experiences that I feel are important. My daughter is doing great with this program. If anyone has ever attended online college courses, the set-up is very similar and promotes autonomous learners which is a great asset to have in life. This is a great online school option and we love this school!

This was the right choice for our family. This is a recognized and respected home school program that is work at your own pace. It allows for your children to focus on what they like the most and to give more attention to the areas they may need more help. My daughter particularly enjoyed the science experiments. And she benefited because we could zip through Reading and then give more focus to evaluating math word problems. The staff, like Kari Rhodes, and all the teachers, were supportive, helpful, and understanding. Even though we only communicated via email, phone, or zoom, they knew me and my daughter very well. I felt they were more engaged than my previous in person public school. If you are interested in homeschooling your child, this is an excellent option.
