Very disappointed in Paul Johnson and Hannah Needham. It’s clear that they just want to get through cases as fast as possible, and the best interest of the child was never seriously considered by either of them, or commissioner LaChance. The lack of communication throughout the entire process was truly appalling. Good luck to anyone that has to deal with this department.

Tried to call back my new case manager 5 minutes after receiving a message today. The recording says to leave a message, but there is no option to. When I went to the main menu, it said to hit zero or wait on the line to speak with a representative, but if you do either, it just repeats the menu. In other words, there is actually no way to reach anybody at all over the phone.
Last time I dealt with this office, the amount of paperwork involved in my simple case was astonishing. At least 4 pieces of mail per week, many of them duplicates, and many questions that have nothing to do with my case at all. Talk about paper waste!
This concept of this department in this county is necessary, but this office in particular is horribly run!

The people working here, most are not interested in the well being of children and won’t take the time to do an investigation for anything other then getting money. Having family that has worked in child/family services I know that many of these people are childless. Primarily concerned with getting money to repay state benefits for someone who refuses to look for a job due to addiction issues as opposed to looking out for the best interest of the child. It’s not about the money, I’m afraid my child will end up in a car accident with his mother drunk and it will be to late and their fault. Disappointed is putting it mildly.

Once you get past the front office, the case workers were very helpful. You have to find the right person to help you though, not necessarily the first person they connect you with.
