I worked with Jonathan for several hours after acquiring my first semi-automatic Sig Sauer. I had grown up around revolvers, have several, but never a semi. As a beginner, I wanted to start from the basics (rules of safe gun handling, parts of the firearm, proper stance, posture and gun grip etc.). Jonathan was amazing. I was nervous to start but soon became more comfortable and confident in my shot. Jonathan would show and explain the drill as many times as I needed to understand and execute. I didn't feel rushed, and felt he would be there to answer any questions along the way as long as I needed. I actually saw my shot improve as the training progressed. All in all a fun, focused, and beneficial session. I will engage Jonathan again...for rifle training : )

Jonathan truly has my highest recommendation! I participated in the beginner pistol course and it was a ton of fun, but also very instructive. This was my first time ever shooting a weapon so as you might expect, I was a bit nervous. But Jonathan has a really calm and nurturing demeanor which was a huge help when it came to making the experience more comfortable. Jonathan's extensive knowledge with regards to topics such as range safety practices, how the weapons work (mechanical internals & externals), the different types of ammunition, the physical act of shooting and what can be done to improve performance, etc. was very noticeable and it really gave me the confidence that the instructions I was receiving were of good quality.

Jonathan was an incredible instructor. He took tremendous care in teaching me proper gun safety, preparation and shooting. I was slightly nervous going into the lesson because I haven’t had much experience with guns but that quickly faded as Jonathan made me feel relaxed right out of the gate. I left our lesson with a newfound confidence in my ability to manage a gun safely and effectively. I’ll definitely be back again to hone my skills further with my own gun. Thanks Jonathan!

Jonathan was awesome! I was new/a beginner to firearms shooting, and Jonathan was patient, and very knowledgeable. He was very clear in everything he was teaching me, and answered all the questions I had along the way! I learned a ton about gun safety, and how to properly manage a firearm. I definitely walked out of there with a new found confidence, and a solid foundation on how to shoot firearms. It was instructive, it was affordable, and also fun! I had a great time and I would honestly recommend Jonathan to anyone who is a beginner like myself!!

Jonathan coached my two kids for two hours and he was great. he focused on gun-safety and showed them the most common mistakes people make. as their confidence grew he switched them to a higher calibre pistol. highly recommended if you're looking for coaching in the SLO area.
