Sera is a wonderful yoga teacher! I've had the pleasure of attending both group classes and a private lesson. She has an excellent teaching style and is patient with all levels. I love how her classes cater well to climbers - she uses a lot of comparisons to climbing moves and her classes are the perfect cross training complement. Her singing is beautiful too!

I've had the opportunity to take Sera's classes and workshops over the past several years in Philly, Thailand, and San Luis Obispo. Sera is a deeply knowledgeable teacher whose commitment to education and supporting good health is reinforced by her continued yoga practice and learning.

Sera's experience and holistic understanding of yoga, beyond just asana, allows her to teach with clear nonviolence/ahisma. This translates to her classes being relatable and applicable to every day life without feeling preachy!

I highly recommend Sera as a teacher and look forward to the opportunity to practice with her again.

Sera is simply the best from all the teachers I've met so far. I met her a few years ago in Chiang Mai in the wonderful and loving place that Wild Rose Yoga is. I followed two ayurveda and yoga intensive sessions with joy and gratitude. I saw the evolution of her practice and the subltelty of her teachings. Sera is generous in her transmission and knows what she is talking about. She will give you a lot of information, tools and knowledge so as you can become autonomous in your practice and start to walk your way in this long path with a deep listening of yourself. At least that is what my latest experience with her taught me. Also the exchanges with the participants during classes were really enriching and we kept on digging and searching altogether, with no set and definite things, at the image of Sera's open-mindedness. I also had an ayurvedic consultation and the changes i managed to make after it through a couple of months (change of rythm and setting up a routine) was a blessing during quarantine and really changed my life.

This is the 2nd part of my feedback (dec 2020) After completed Sera's 200 TTC online training I cannot but keep on thinking she's a gift for us to have. She managed to make an online intense training of high quality, demanding, effective, very interesting, fun even when I felt overwhelmed with new information. Her personality makes teaching and learning a precious experience. These were some of the best weeks of my life and a light in this tough year. Even online I felt connected to the people i shared the training with and just can't wait for the day to meet in real life. I learnt a lot for my own practice and she arose in me the love to teach yoga and keep on studying. Thank you !

Sera is an incredible yoga instructor. She is knowledgeable and passionate about what she teaches and shares. It shows greatly how connected she is to the roots of this practice and I am so grateful to have her instruction, teachings, and support.
Yoga has become all sorts of things here in the west, and Sera does an incredible job of honoring it's origins and connecting you to the roots of this sacred practice not only within your body, but in mind and spirit as well when you leave your mat.
Thank you Sera for being a guide and light in this community. You are an inspiration and an amazing teacher. I am so grateful to receive your services.

I have experienced teacher training, workshops, courses, and countless studio classes led by Sera since she moved to my area several years ago. I have to say that she has raised the standard of quality that I expect when I enter a yoga space. Her teaching style encourages deep inquiry and curiosity, and her classes are challenging in ways beyond mere asana. She seems always to be simultaneously sitting in the seat of student and teacher and encourages those of us who are teachers ourselves to do the same.

I've taken courses both in-person and virtually with Sera and have gotten equal benefit from both methods. Being in person is magical, of course, but it was so wonderful to go to school online, too. I was able to take Sera's 30h Āyurvedic Foundations course a few months ago, something I usually would not be able to do because I am an office slug working a 9-5. I am so grateful to have had this opportunity to further my knowledge while still being a crusty little mole person hiding away at home 🙂

If you ever have the chance to take a class, course, or training from Sera, I highly recommend that you take it!

I just wrote to Sera about three days ago after not being taught by her nor having contact in on over 4 years.

I basically said this to her verbatum:

I have been doing yoga for 10 years. I now may have some time to deepen my practice. I have traveled around the world and out of all the yoga teachers I have met and worked with (I would say conservativly 300), Sera is only a small handful (5 to 7) instructors that I consider yogis. Not just someone who took a teacher training course and is "called" a yoga teacher. She is a yogi.

Anyway there are only two people I would want to be taught by. And Sera is on the top of that list. I want to be taught the right way; for myself and my blossoming practice, but especially if I am honored to teach one day. I want a solid foundation....so I can pass down that same correct and accurate foundation onto others if I so choose.

Just like a house needs a solid foundation or eventually cracks in the walls and/or outer structure will appear over time...I have seen over the years that the same foundation applys to yoga in regards to building "our foundation" and our Temple.

As she would say in class while giving us sometimes "stearn" instructions (that I absolutely hated at the time (lol) nor always undertsood.) "EVERYTHING matters Mark".

As my studies have grown as well as my awareness and knowledge of the yoga sutras I NOW understand what she meant and why she instructed us in the ways she did, and taught me things I was never taught before. This is because Sera is a yogi that happens to teach yoga. Not just a "yoga teacher".

I can say that before I met Sera I thought yoga was just physical movements and only about the body. I only worked with her at a studio for maybe 6 to 8 months in a class setting, but my Asana (physical) yoga pratice increased more in those 8 months than anytime over my 10 years. By far.

Thus this is why I am reaching out to her now. I wanted to be trained by her and her lineage so I have the correct foundation moving forward in case I want to teach someday. I am reaching out to her because I undertand now why she says, "everything matters".

Sera is such an amazing teacher! I am constantly amazed at how her classes allow me to deepen my practice. In addition to being an incredible yoga teacher, she is kind and wise, and is always a pleasure to chat with. I would highly recommend taking a class from her if given the opportunity.

Sera is a phenomenal teacher. I have purchased two private yoga packages from her as well as ayurvedic cooking and an ayurvedic Yoga retreat in Thailand. She has been a pivotal part of changing my life for the better . I have two reconstructed shoulders and a reconstructed knee and she helped me regain strength and flexibility that I hadn't had since I was a teenager. Anybody who is considering taking classes from her should dive in as soon as possible and let the healing and growth begin.
