The 5 years I spent here were the most memorable years of my life and they helped to shape who I am today. The teachers are passionate about what they do, the program is challenging and captivating. They focus of the growth of each individual student as a person, not just academically.

I attended the summer program from 1975 thru 1977 and even though there were some challenging academic classes, I enjoyed my times there very much. In 1976 I took and passed Oceanography 1 (ecosystems/biology/freediving/safety), and in 1977 took and passed Oceanography 2 ( certified basic scuba diver/ advanced open water diver) The PADI Instructors there were excellent. The six week classes took us to many different beaches incl. Carpinteria, Malibu, and even La Jolla during an overnight field trip to The Scripps Institute. The grand finale was an overnight diving charter aboard the 65 ft ISLANDER out of Oxnard to The North Channel Islands of Santa Cruz and Anacapa. Wet suit rentals, regulators, and tanks are supplied, __mask, snorkel, and fins are not.
